MY PICKS(6-1 Last Week, 44-11 on the season)
GOLDSBORO COUGARS 0-2 0-6 @ (3)JAMES KENAN TIGERS 2-0 4-1

My Tigers πŸ… will be back at home this week against a Cougars team that has only scored 6 points all season. The Cougars are coming off a bye week, and they'll be trying to put together their best game of this season. My Tigers πŸ… had to fight hard for a 29-22 victory over Midway last week. Hopefully the Cougars won't put up too much of a fight and let us play our jv players majority of this one. G 0 JK 56

GAME OF THE WEEK
(9)MIDWAY RAIDERS 5-1 1-1 @ (6)WALLACE ROSE HILL BULLDOGS 4-2 2-0

The Raiders are coming off of an hard fought loss to my Tigers, in a game where they played great defense throughout, but it was their offense that struggled to find a rhythm. The Bulldogs put together by far their best performance of the season, in their blowout win over Princeton 42-7. Bulldogs defense dominated the game, and their offense is starting to get going. That really makes this Bulldogs team scary. Well here comes those wounded Raiders, looking to spoil the Bulldogs HOMECOMING. In their meeting last season the Bulldogs rushed for over 400 yards, but only had 2 pass attempts in a 42-35 defeat. They'll have to put the ball in the air more than that Friday night, because the Raiders run defense is tough to move the ball on. The Raiders had over 300 yards on the ground, and over 250 in the air in their meeting last season. They'll need to get their air show going again Friday night, cause what we witnessed from the Bulldogs run defense last week against Princeton, holding the #1 rusher in the nation to 19 carries for 23 yards. So the Raiders offensive coordinator will have his work cut out for him this week. The Bulldogs are clicking on both sides of the ball right now, and are looking good. The Raiders are good, and can put their name back in the running to be SVC champions. It's a hard task for the Raiders, going into the Dog πŸ• Pound, on HOMECOMING night. I look for the Raiders to come out swinging, and hit the Bulldogs with everything they got, but that won't be enough, cause these Dogs taste blood, and they can sense the fear in the Raiders. M 7 WRH 28

OTHER GAMES OF INTEREST
(21)PASQUOTANK COUNTY PANTHERS 3-3 0-1 @ (7)MARTIN COUNTY GATORS 5-1

The Panthers had their best offensive output of the season in last week's overtime loss on the road against Hertford County 50-48. They had to come from behind to force the extra period, but failed short on a two point conversion. The Gators are coming off of a two game week, where they had to finish a game against 5a power Wilson Hunt on Monday. A game where they let get away from them in the 4th quarter, losing 35-21. Then they had to regroup quickly and they rolled right through Rosewood 51-7. Now they'll face a Panthers team that's wounded, but proved in last week's loss that they can explode offensively. The Gators will start defending their 2025 co conference title this week, and will do it with a dominant performance. PC 6 MC 48

(11)EASTERN RANDOLPH WILDCATS 4-3 1-0 @ (20)SOUTHWESTERN RANDOLPH COUGARS 5-1
The Wildcats appears to be waking up, and starting to look like the team that everyone was expecting them to be. The Wildcats showed the part in last week's 42-0 win over Northwood. And now they'll face a Cougars team that's coming off of an bye week. Whose only loss of the season came against Randleman 34-14. A team that the Wildcats defeated 42-14 earlier this season. The Wildcats will need to get their running game going to match their passing attack, and keep the Cougars defense guessing. I think both of these teams are pretty much even, and I'll give the edge to the Wildcats. I believe that they'll find a way to win their 3rd straight. ER 27 SWR 21

(18)GREENE CENTRAL RAMS 🐏 3-3 0-1 @ (17)KINSTON VIKINGS 4-2 1-0
The Rams are struggling right now, and are losers of two in a row. They were defeated last week by 2a powerhouse Tarboro 42-28. A game where they started off slow, and couldn't catch up. They played better in the second half, holding Tarboro to 8 points, and scored 21. The Vikings has won four straight including a 27-21 victory over helpless Ayden-Grifton last week. A game where they were out scored 21-7 in the second half. The Rams are better than their 3-3 record, and will need to sustain drives and finish them. The Vikings appears to be playing at the level of their competition. The Vikings pulled out a close one 32-31 in their meeting last season, and I believe that this one will be similar, but will be in the Rams 🐏 favor. GC 29 K 28

(10)WHITEVILLE WOLFPACK 5-0 @ SOUTH BRUNSWICK COUGARS 3-3 1-0
The Wolfpack are coming off of double bye weeks, and should be ready to play some football. They were victorious over Clinton in their last outing three weeks ago 34-21. The Cougars defeated Red Springs last week 48-7. They have won three of their last four, and will be looking to add to that Friday night at home against the undefeated Wolfpack. I think the Wolfpack won't show no signs of rust, and will handle the Cougars to remain undefeated. W 35 SB 14

RED SPRINGS RED DEVILS 1-5 0-1 @ (24)SOUTH COLUMBUS STALLIONS 4-2 1-0
The Stallions are riding a three game winning streak heading into this contest against the Red Devils. They defeated Fairmont 16-14 last week. The Red Devils are coming off of an 48-7 loss to South Brunswick. The Red Devils has only scored 29 total points this season, and 22 of them came in their only win over Douglas Byrd. I don't think this will be much of a contest at all. Look for the Stallions to keep rolling. RS 0 SC 41

MY 3A TOP 10
1. NORTHEASTERN(1) 6-1 won Currituck County 46-21
2. WHITEVILLE(2) 5-0 Bye
3. JAMES KENAN(4) 4-1 Won (3)Midway 29-22
4. MARTIN COUNTY(5) 5-1 Won (20)Rosewood 51-7
5. MIDWAY(3) 5-1 Lost (4)James Kenan 29-22
6. WALLACE ROSE HILL(6) 4-2 Won (10)Princeton 42-7
7. KINSTON(7) 4-2 Won Ayden-Grifton 27-21
8. HERTFORD COUNTY(8) 4-2 Won (23)Pasquotank County 50-48
9. EASTERN RANDOLPH(NR) 4-3 Won Northwood 42-0
10. SOUTH COLUMBUS(NR) 4-2 Won Fairmont 16-14

Midway and my Tigers πŸ… gave us a classic battle last week. And Wallace Rose Hill is starting to put all the pieces together at the right time. They really dominated Princeton, and I don't think anyone was expecting them to dominate them like that. Rosewood stepped out of conference and played tough for a half. All eyes this week will be on Midway at Wallace Rose Hill. Should be another great week of action in the SVC. Good luck to all of the SVC teams in action this week. LET'S GOOOO TIGERS πŸ…
