It is with my deepest regrets that I must inform you of the sudden passing of our good friend and longtime Booster Club member Kevin Hunt. He passed away suddenly this morning from a massive stroke. Kevin was a great fan of Seton Hall Basketball and he was an integral part of the Booster Club as he did so much for the club over the years.

Way, way too young. I have shared a room with him for a week at a booster Club trip. I have had him over my house for a picnic. Shared many memories with Kevon at SHU games. What a terrible thing to wake up to.

He will be missed by all that knew him.

A very good man and great Seton Hall Pirate fan.

Kevin was perpetually positive about life and his Seton Hall Pirates. I have at least 20 years of text messages with him providing me with needed perspective on games, the season, the program. Kevin had a huge heart.

For over 30 years the Tuesday or Wednesday before the NCAA Tournament was our tourney fantasy draft. Same group for all this time. Kevin by far won it the most and was a driving force in keeping it going all these years.

This is a gut punch to all who knew him and any fan of the Seton Hall program. Gone too soon.

Very sad news indeed. I didnt know him personally, but thru this site, and seeing his involvement in the Booster Club.

My condolences and sympathies to his family...all losses are tough to bear, but when they are sudden and seemingly out of nowhere...that can be even tougher.

Usually see Kevin at some games. Missed him last yr. Terrific guy. Way too young.

RIP to one of the good ones.

This is awful news. Kevin was such a good person. We were not good friends but knew each other through various mutual friends.

We really got to know each other on the Booster Club trip to Fort Myers several years ago. I was travelling solo within the group but Kevin made sure I was fully engaged. He invited me to join his group for dinner on one night of the trip and insisted I join him and several others for breakfast when I ran into them in the hotel cafe one of the mornings.

This is a terrible loss not only for his family but for Seton Hall fans. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.

What awful news. What @TheHall87 describes above is exactly how and what Kevin was, a friendly, engaging guy who was a friend to so many. A real connector to whom those connections truly meant something. A great guy, and I'll miss him.

OMG such terrible news. We lost one of the truly good ones. Kevin was such a fan. Did not go to SHU I believe but loved The Hall and our team. Years back we had a private invite to a few practices a few years in a row and invited Kevin because he was such a big fan and went out with him after. He was thrilled and excited to go and talked about it for some time. What a terrific guy, easy to talk to and a true fan. Saw him last year at a game and we caught up. Terrible loss for the SHU family. Kevin RIP my friend. Sad day.
