Imagine a high school teacher who has taught for 19 years whom everyone knows is mediocre at best and is teaching the same way he or she did 19 years ago. Would you want your kid in his class? The players are not getting a fair shake if mediocrity is the best we can do, and Greg is far below mediocrity.

It’s not the Coach!! Coaching ain’t our problem. We don’t have the players because we don’t have the $$$$$$$$.

Football is simple. The bigger, stronger, taller, faster team wins. That’s it! That’s all!
End of story!

its jimmies and joes!

If GS had Indiana players he would be better but still playing weirdo football where you "can't try to win too hard" because stats say its risky. Who else has ever done that point-and-yell, no catch punt reception for a whole season? Who has a bad red zone over three decades? Who calls a TO with 40 seconds to go in the half while up by 50 points (Norfolk in 2007). Who has a Duff, Strong and AK and only scores 12 passing TDs? The problem is between the ears for GS. I'm not making fun when I say he's on some kind of spectrum when it comes to understanding obvious problems

You’re right it isn’t fair to the the players. It isn’t fair that this staff and HC ineptly evaluated and signed FCS level transfer players and asked them to perform against much better talent. It’s been documented that significant resources were available for this season and the HC/staff put this roster together. The fault is on the HC/staff any way you cut it.

Weren't we bigger, stronger and had more $$$ then UMASS. In 17 years, GS has had only had a winning conference record 4 years. Man if you get paid 6 mil a year, no excuses. Congress is putting a limit on players NIL but not on the HC. People might think this will help us but no players will get paid, it has alway been that way. So if we don't have the $$$ to compete maybe we need to consider our options

I think the problem is transfer player don't want to come here. You tell me what would attract a good player to want to play for GS. Players want to win.

If Schiano goes, the carpet baggers, Zinn and Tate, should go too!

Look - Greg should and will go at the end of the year. I don’t think there’s a “fairness to the players” argument relevant to the remainder of this season. It’s probably (or at least possibly) less disruptive and therefore might even be the majority preference, if you polled the team individually, to ride out the season with the existing staff.

But the truth is, it just doesn’t much matter. This season is a lost cause regardless and future plans are without question being discussed behind closed doors. Whatever the short term outcome, we have to simply trust that decisions are being made with the long term best interest of the program in mind. Again - this season is done.

Zinn just started, she isn't going to place her future on a coach that has a losing record. She is gonna bring in her own coach, as she should. Don't think she would have left LSU if she was told she couldn't make a coaching change

Of course she will. But it may just not be worth dealing with mid season. Guys like Duff and Raymond stuck around to play for Greg. Zinn knows what she’s potentially dealing with in terms of the locker room and potential short term politics with picking someone to become interim and getting the rest of the staff to respond positively. Sometimes it works out well to make a change. Other times it doesn’t. The truth is it doesn’t really matter if an announcement is made now or in December.

Indiana had better players and the difference was very obvious. But it still comes down to coaching. Two teams with relatively equal players Indiana vs ohio st, Alabama bs LSU still always comes down to coaching.

UMass spends maybe 10% of our spend...Last year- they were the worst team in ALL of football.

Somehow- either they found better jimmies and joes (coaches fault) or they have a HC who is vastly superior to ours????
