Many of us wanted someone other than Beamer, but we got who we got.
Once that was in stone….it soon became clear that the initial OC hire was a disaster and got us WAY off on the wrong foot.
that hire has lead to a set of dominoes at OC that has continually made USC stumble. It affects players off season work, in season play , confidence , speed /ability of play, all kinds of things. That decision was Beamers alone. A huge (obvious to most) mistake. Look at some of the now Head coaches of major programs that had resumes, were known and within coaching circles were known to be up and comers and available to hire as OC at the time sb was first hired. Beamer went with a guy who he knew couldn’t take his job. Terrible early decision and what I think has been the main reason for his tenure’s problems.

We made bad hires post Spurrier and not just at the head coach position.

we now have to live with it for 4 more years. Might as well cut the NIL and assistant coach budget to basically nothing and create war chest of cash in 2031.
