Iowa let them march down the field just before the end of the first half. It looked like an OSU scrimmage. We did for most of the first half. It was 10-7 when we GAVE them the score on the TO . We held them to THREE points (other then the fumble) until the last minute of the first half. Then the late score hurt. The D had played pretty well up to that point. They just have too many weapons to contain them for 4Q's, unless you're Texas or someone like that, and the injuries to the DB's in the 2nd half didn't help.
If OSU would have just passed it to number 3 and number 4 every play on offense they would have won by 50 points at least.Iowa let them march down the field just before the end of the first half. It looked like an OSU scrimmage.
Once again, you’re basing all of this off playing absolutely nobody the first five weeks. Come back in a month and let’s see where you’re at. Talent has never been the issue in Lincoln. That's not quite true. Gilmore our WR only had 6 less receptions and 60 less receiving yards than Iowa's whole team today. We have a stable of WR we can run out there at any given time. Freshman RB Rule looks like he's that dude. Can't wait to get him back next week. The TE Lindenmeyer is a solid all around player and the OLine is vastly improved after removing Uncle Donny as coach. There's a lot of talent on both sides of the ball for Nebraska, by far our most talented team in awhile. Now we just need to cut down on the penalties, 16 is not gonna cut it moving forward. We might be the most penalized team in the B1G right now. That's not gonna win you many ball games against the majority of these B1G teams.
I thought Iowa's D looked good for the most part, especially being out there for almost 40 minutes. OSU almost doubled the time of possession. Your guy's defense will win you a lot of B1G games this year. Good luck the rest of the way.
You seem to be contradicting yourself a little bit. You said we have nobody outside of Colandrea, but then say talent has never been an issue? Which one is it?Once again, you’re basing all of this off playing absolutely nobody the first five weeks. Come back in a month and let’s see where you’re at. Talent has never been the issue in Lincoln.
Which I already said in the post you quoted.Iowa let them march down the field just before the end of the first half. It looked like an OSU scrimmage.
