I really do believe South Carolina does have good practices during the week.

Against Mississippi State and Kentucky South Carolina looked good in the first quarter and average in the second quarter. After halftime these teams make adjustments and South Carolina does not counter with these adjustments. Look at how many double-digit leads that slipped through South Carolina hands the last four years. It is the gameday coaching that is hurting South Carolina and painful as it may be South Carolina needs to cut ties with certain member or so with the coaching staff.

Are you suggesting the DC and DB coach might have to be this year’s sacrificial scapegoats?

I do not want to cut ties with Coach Gray because he has a track record of good results of developing at the cornerback and safety positions.

I know it looks ugly now, but I believe if he is fired, he would land a job in this conference by late November and latest would be January.

Not disagreeing since they all get recycled by friends in the biz, but couldn't resist laughing at the irony of the statement. 😄

Just throwing this out there: Possibly the reason we practice good and look good in practice - so the coaches can't see the glaring deficiencies in our secondary - is because Sellers sucks, on the field and in practice.

Numbers don't lie. This is the 4th game in a row where the secondary has been absolutely lost. No tackling, no coverage, and wide open receivers for the opposition. And we know for a fact that Sellers cannot carve up the secondary, even our own. He consistently throws it to the wrong guy, at his feet or 10 feet over their heads or sometimes, right to the defender. When he's not doing that, he's fumbling because (I think) he has small hands and tries to palm the ball when it should be tucked..... he refuses to do it. Even better? He's the best we got. Year 6. Fire Beamer. Today.
