I like Moulton but he’s not a RB1

Really like Jackson's upside, speed, knack for making a play, and he did a better job today picking up some blocks on pass rushers. Just not sure if he can bang inside the tackles like we need our backs to do much of the B10 schedule as the season progresses.
He would be a good change of pace back paired with Phillips. Be like thunder and lightning.

With the offensive line way it is I'm not sure any guy on team looks like rb1 right now. Having said that given current situation I think Jackson would be best back for current team. I'd utilize him in passing game a lot. We tossed short dumpoff to him late in 3rd and he got 12 yards real quick.
I like Phillips as RB one for this team. If there’s not holes there, at least he can constantly fall forward. And then maybe Jackson if you’re looking for a change of pace.

Maybe I just haven't seen Philips enough. Jackson pops when he's out there and I think this team needs to be pass first which is crazy to think about.

Was just going to say this as well, but no way this staff doesn’t keep feeding Moulton the rock unless he were to fumble…😎
Yeah I think it’s more a personal issue on the line not getting it done, and uninspiring run design for strengths of players.

Looking ahead, seems likely Jackson will play a big role next year at least.

Something is not clicking for him. In 39 carries of the 3 power four games he doesn’t have a run longer than 8 yards.

Does a great job on blitz pick ups but still just don’t think he’s quite strong enough or quite quick enough to be a RB1.
Have to agree with you all the way on that

Jackson is the future and just needs to add some muscle but the kid has major speed for the position. Who would have thought a guy whose dad rushed for almost 6,000 yards in the NFL would be a good college back?

Cigg, Indiana. They are elite again. Guy is a monster coach.
1st year, playoffs, second year NC and third year a major threat to win it again. Yes, they have money but nowhere near the blue bloods. This guy can flat out coach.
Without great asst coaches he is not anywhere near great.

and, as if we do not have enough "potential" good RBs, what about this Keyona Thomas kid next year? Assuming we can get him signed, he would be a true frosh with all these other guys. he is tearing it up as a senior in high school.

I want to see Phillips on a single drive, just him, to see if he picks up steam the more he runs the ball. Dude gets two carries and sits for the rest of the quarter. He showed potential against OSU for the little carries he did have. I get that RBs are subbed out frequently because they take such a pounding, or if the next play calls for something other than a run, but Lester needs to start trying to establish the run game. Stop putting everything on Brown's arm, he doesn't have the skill to do that.

That’s where I’m at. I want to see Phillips get 15 to 20 carries Friday.
