Fried oysters and shrimp from El’s Drive-In in Morehead City. The oysters were awesome. The shrimp were bland and flavorless.

I pass there all the time and have never eaten there since its a take out only. So you recommend the oysters? I'll have to try them. Do you get a decent portion?

I eat mostly at Cox's Family Restaurant. Love the variety and southern food there and I know everyone there. I got WRAL to do a Tar Heel Traveler show of them. They did El's as well.

Not a shrimp person. Only like cold boiled with sauce. Can't stand the texture of fried shrimp. Like eating gristle. Makes my skin crawl. Ugh! But I love oysters in any from, especially steamed and fried.

A very large portion. I got the tray, but they also have a plate or sandwich.

Curb service like an old car hop. The cocktail sauce is crap. The oysters were so good I ate them just with a sprinkle of salt.

A peck of oysters and a pound of shrimp at Sunnyside Oyster Bar in Williamson. A seafood palace with sawdust in the floor. I share with my wife, but she didn’t eat much. I’m stuffed.

I’m thinking about having a tuna sub from Subway. I still like them regardless of reports the tuna is basically floor scrapings from the fish processer.
