Yeah it’s not a video game. The players go through ups and downs. There’s a reason the transitive property doesn’t actually work in sports. Remember when 2-10 State defeated Arizona who won 9-10 games (can’t remember exactly and too lazy to look)?

We will flush today, which sucked obviously, and be ready for LSU in two weeks. Who knows where they will be then. Bottom line: We are yet again showing consistent improvement and I remember some of Mullen’s losses to Bama that were far less entertaining. 7-9 wins is absolutely in play. Most here should be honest enough to admit that would be spectacular!

We may be ready but we ain't winning that one. And that's ok.
How you could say that with any certainty is beyond me. For reference, how many wins did you think we’d get this year? Something tells me we are at or past your guess. You know LSU players can get injured too right? You know they can make mistakes?

Today for us was similar to what Ole Miss experienced at Florida last week and Florida is getting a dose of the same today. State, Ole Miss, Florida and Missouri are all good teams, but not great teams in the middle of the SEC pack. We could all lose big to each other, or big the absolute hell out of each other on any given Saturday. I think I’d throw Auburn in there as well. They aren’t awful either.

Eh…put Tennessee in that group as well.

Look, I want to be wrong, but I don't see Lane letting them sleep walk against us at home.

What makes you say that?

Kiffin doesn’t think anything of us.
Exactly. And this is a huge newsflash to some here but coaches can’t control their players completely. Even Saban had teams come out flat. It happens. They may be riding high and demolish us or they may be going through the motions and we catch them by surprise.

just makes me think that we are starting to see everything/everyone fall into place

And, typical SEC fashion, everybody will get beat up, and everyone is at risk of one loss

Here’s the difference. In the past 17 consecutive Alabama wins over Mississippi State, the score difference average is 25 points. Nobody loses like a Bulldog to an Elephant!

Also, Florida’s big win over Ole Miss was at home.
Missouri’s big win over Florida was at home.
State’s big win over Missouri was at home.
but Alabama’s continued domination over MSU was on the road!
State will be behind both Missouri and Florida in this week’s poll because of State’s play today.
