was a huge, massive, enormous mistake. A complete lack of originality on the AD's. part. Just completely unprepared for today. All those halftime adjustments during the USC and Mizzou games? Fools gold.

I understand being upset about today’s performance, but there’s still time to erase this before the rest of the board sees it.
Not my first rodeo here. Plenty of games this season left to prove me wrong.

Do you think what we had before him was better? Who could we have gotten that would be so much better? Is the AD the only one with a say on who’s the DC? I mean.. I dunno. I do know that when you run a 3-3-5 defense, those 3 DL need to be pretty good.

He inherited a huge pile of **** defensively. Made worse by injuries to some key personnel like Williams and now Smith. Just no talent on the DL at all.

The only mistake about firing Hutzler was that it wasn’t done earlier, but re-hiring Arnett? I guess time will tell

After this week, we stand a good chance of being next to last in the SEC in both yards and points given up, so there’s at least something to debate here
Was never a fan of hiring Hutzler to begin with & never a big fan of re-hiring Arnett. I hope our defense isn’t as bad as it looked today. But even first 4 games it was average at best.

Yeah, and I’m still not convinced that it wasn’t financially motivated too. As in, how much buyout money did it save us by bringing him back with a $1.1M salary versus starting fresh with someone else?

Either way, he’s never been much more than a middle of the road DC, and the thing that worries me more is that he’s never been a particularly effective recruiter either. He needs to earn his money this offseason

Uh, You've already been proven wrong. There is not a defensive coach at any level in this country who could've taken our defense and beat Alabama today with the injuries we have on offense AND defense . But you're getting some attention from your "post" which is all you wanted in the first place .

Nah. Mississippi would never base such a big decision on what is the cheapest option. Never. **

can't agree with that........bama is just solid all the way around and 2 deep, minimum, at all positions

.....maybe if that had happened against Maine

True. State needs someone who can mold average defensive players into 5 star players to overcome the screwups on offense. 😉
He’s about the best we could get at the time so this whole convo is pretty pointless

But it does illustrate that Lenny doesn’t have a plan

Your old lady works at Wendy's don't she? She knows what a real pecker looks like, so you should be embarrassed.
You can’t even contend with his argument so you just made a low brow, low iq, joke that probablly reveals a lot more about your compensation down stairs than anything else. Arnette has a dawg sh** defense against top twenty offenses, take your mouth off his wood long enough to look it up, cooter poot. Children on here I swear.

I don’t think folks take offense to your opinion so much as they question the timing of it. Staying silent all season and only speaking up at the first sign of adversity makes you look like a chicken sh*t.
