Yep. Every restaurant looks slammed. 12 was gridlock. I had to take all the back roads to get to lost pizza from campus.
However the concert crowd.... must be stuck in traffic too.

Been in town since 12:30 starting at Little Dooey and then Campus Book Mart, The Lodge, Bin612, The Landing, Big E’s and then Anthony’s in WP.
All packed, as was Hwy 12.

It's my wife's birthday. She was wanting to go out to eat until I reminded her it was game weekend. She then decided me putting some ribeyes on the grill was a splendid idea.

Everything is packed and people are everywhere. We went to Little Dooey’s for dinner and it was full, and then ran by the Lodge at 8:30 to get one of my kids something maroon for tomorrow (since our section is maroon). Even though the Lodge was closing at 9:00, there were tons of people in there. The whole parking lot was full, too, and there was a big group outside Harvey’s obviously waiting for a table.
I agree - it’s one of the rare occasions I’m happy to see somewhere crowded, and with too much traffic.

In a time honored SPS tradition I’ll be wearing maroon in a white section. I didn’t know where our seats were located and didn’t know it was a stripe out.
Any logical reason why Game Day is in Iowa City instead of Starkville (other than it's the B1G's turn)?
That’s pretty much the reason. They kept catching hell for going to SEC teams. If that’s the best game, it’s the best game. Who gives a shìt what conference it is.
I’m so happy for the current students. Especially the seniors.
Of course my daughter graduated in May lol. She got to sit through three straight years of no SEC home wins. The one bright spot was getting to rush the field against Arizona State last season.
Because they expect Alabama to win and expect to be at the bama Georgia game next weekend.
But how much are the hotels? Won't be able to fully gage the success until we know if we can brag about how expensive it is***
