Sunday (10/4) was the birthday of the late, great, Marlena Davis. She was a founding member of Audrey and the Teenettes, a group formed at Shoemaker Junior High School in Philadelphia, by several girls. She was still with the group when they changed their name to the Orlons. She sang lead on their 1st hit (local, not national). However, she was no longer the lead when they attained several national hits. To celebrate, one of their top songs. Alas, as she left the group in 1963, and the group only lasted a year or so more, there is no video I could find of them performing with Marlena.
