So, it has come to this. Getting blown out by Northwestern.

Sadly, you nailed it. Campbell is under a lot of pressure now. I don’t think Pat Kraft survives this. It’s the worst timing for a failed big swing.

Big swing? Campbell was his last choice.

Eskildsen is soft. Sowell & Brahmer are ok but nothing special.

But this is not setting back a program one year…this is setting it back to the early 2000’s.

Not in traffic

cntblvitsbutter · Friday at 8:54 PM

There's no way Campbell sits Becht. He picked him over Grunk and payed over 1mm. Plus, he's no Saban.

CDLionFL · Friday at 8:54 PM

You lose the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and you're not gonna win too many games. Getting pushed around like they're a Pop Warner team.

Not really. He obviously has a hard time tracking and adjusting to the ball in the air. Not a great trait to have at the WR position.

PSU doesn't have anyone better than this stiff? Jeepers.

PhillyBillyReprise · Friday at 8:55 PM

Glad PSU got rid of Franklin. No more 6 yard throws on 3rd and 8. No more poor time management. Much improved run game.

Psumatt85 · Friday at 8:55 PM

What team can we hire their coach next year and overpay for an entire roster? Maybe we can keep Campbell and pay $50m to bring in ISU again?

What adjustments can you make at halftime when your players just aren’t very good?

Stack the friggin box, and make Chiles use his arm.

Did you guys expect anything else?

Relax. It's gonna take Matt Campbell a couple years to get his program in place and you'll be a consistent 7-5 football team once he gets everything dialed.

We lost a couple there. That one was bad. Two RB's over 200 each. Here it is.

Player Carries Rushing Yards Touchdowns
Sedrick Irvin 28 238 3
Marc Renaud 21 203 1

Did either one ever have another 200 yd game in their careers? I bet not.

SouthHalls410 · Friday at 8:56 PM

And they are jacking up prices and thinking 110 k are going to support this? Hey I went games as a student when we went 3-9. There was fight in those teams. But this? We sold our MN tickets. my husband is getting apathetic.

LilWashLion · Friday at 8:56 PM

Did anyone think this year could be worse than last year?
This team is embarrassing!

I like Matt Campbell and I really hope he can turn this around. Having said that, I really hope Pat Kraft is gone. Can’t stand seeing his fat *** on the sideline pretending he’s “one of the boys.”

So I’m guessing what they discussed at Sundays players only meeting was not about how to beat NW

PSU with a 45-yard FG attempt, and Barker hits it wide right. smh

24-7, NW, with 0:16 left in the 2nd qtr

even Barker is sucking

Agree except he prioritized his players over PSU players.

Becht > Grunk
Brahmer > Reynolds
Ebel/Bacon > Campbell

And better tackling because Campbell tackles in practice.

Yes, we only thought it could be good because of the schedule

Welp who is the next PSU coach in reality this team is severely lacking talent and 3-4 studs on offense and defense. Gonna be a big rebuild. Iowa State is not big 10 talent. Going to be a long season.

I'D like to know who the new AD is first - Krafty The Clown in way further over his had than Campbell.

Pat Kraft must be a moron. Urban Meyer, one of the greatest college coaches of all time, wanted this job and he passed. He thought he would be able to lure away ND head coach. Total moron.

Urban Meyer told him to hire this guy.....penn state is so gullible they listen to buckeyes about who to hire. Basically nice guys that dont win

This still isn't what happened
I know you all want to truly believe that he forced out Grunk but that was a done deal when James left
Brahmer = Reynolds
Campbell? i don't even know how to respond to that one
Don't let Grunk's never mislead you--he hurts his team often--anyone watching that game tonight can tell you

Campbell looks way out of his depth across the board. It’s early in his tenure, but he looks over matched.

I’m still giving him a pass.
Kraft F’ed him over with such a late hire.
That is probably a homer comment.

At least PITT has a real coach and is winning
