Freddie Mercury actually played the cowbell on the 1977 Queen track "Who Needs You". [1]

Written by bassist John Deacon for the News of the World album, the tropical, Spanish-flavored acoustic song features a unique division of percussion labor: lead guitarist Brian May shakes the maracas while Freddie Mercury handles the cowbell. [1, 2]

But I could not find a pic.

I see the school reached out to him in the comments and by DM. I think he’s heading to a festival in Alabama this weekend.

I see im not the only one with my head on a swivel for that. Bonus is you get both deer and trees at night.
I don't drive on the Trace at night outside of Clinton-to-Ridgeland. I came back from Starkville between Hwy 43 and Ridgeland one night after a game when it was raining, and I couldn't see the lines on the road, and was terrified I was going to hit a deer and go into the Reservoir.

Since the big pine tree kill two or three years ago, I don't drive on the Trace anywhere in windy weather.

Only a small non-zero risk of a dead pine tree deciding to fall on your car.

It’s a risk, but I have a feeling it’s pretty minuscule. And those dead pine trees are near a lot of roads that aren’t the Trace as well.

But driving carefully is always a good idea, especially on the Trace. No shoulder to speak of and going off the road is not gonna end well in most spots.

I understand them taking the trace being tourists and all. However, 25 is a nice drive too.
When driving from Starkville to Texas, I end up on the Trace semi-regularly to cut around Jackson. Sometimes it sends me through Brandon, 471, and to straight to 20 in Pearl. I guess it depends on traffic.

But I've spent more time on the Trace as an adult than I did as a kid before 25 was "finished."

He is going to Oktoberfest in Cullman.

Makes sense I guess, he’s German and Cullman was founded by a German immigrant after the Civil War.

They even have a weiner dog race at Oktoberfest…

If you’re going from Starkville to Texas the Trace is by far the best route around Jackson.
