I understand them taking the trace being tourists and all. However, 25 is a nice drive too.

Only a small non-zero risk of a dead pine tree deciding to fall on your car.
I see im not the only one with my head on a swivel for that. Bonus is you get both deer and trees at night.
I don't drive on the Trace at night outside of Clinton-to-Ridgeland. I came back from Starkville between Hwy 43 and Ridgeland one night after a game when it was raining, and I couldn't see the lines on the road, and was terrified I was going to hit a deer and go into the Reservoir.
Since the big pine tree kill two or three years ago, I don't drive on the Trace anywhere in windy weather.
It’s a risk, but I have a feeling it’s pretty minuscule. And those dead pine trees are near a lot of roads that aren’t the Trace as well.
But driving carefully is always a good idea, especially on the Trace. No shoulder to speak of and going off the road is not gonna end well in most spots.
Maybe he's coming to the "Rock the South" festival in Decatur. I think it may be country music.
But nonzero.

What hilarious is that there have been Rebels all over his feed begging him to come to Oxford. Their heads are exploding right now.
When driving from Starkville to Texas, I end up on the Trace semi-regularly to cut around Jackson. Sometimes it sends me through Brandon, 471, and to straight to 20 in Pearl. I guess it depends on traffic.
But I've spent more time on the Trace as an adult than I did as a kid before 25 was "finished."
Waze doesn't necessarily spread the news about dead trees blocking the road after ice.
If you aren’t in a hurry, take the Trace every time.
Makes sense I guess, he’s German and Cullman was founded by a German immigrant after the Civil War.

If you’re going from Starkville to Texas the Trace is by far the best route around Jackson.
