That stings a bit! Anyone know the story why he'd leave one of the top defenses in football for lowly Minnesota? Was he recruited by them out of high school? Playing time issues at Iowa?

I know we whipped their *** last year.
I believe he wasn't guaranteed to be starting, so he booked.
That's what the story was at the time.
Family interference.
Because of injuries, he would have ended up starting several games if he had stuck around.
If I recall correctly, his dad rubbed some people the wrong way as the high school coach somewhere in Iowa and it kind of snowballed
That grade will drop significantly when Reece beats him for a touchdown again.
Nestor like so many in the portal left after he got beat out for a starting spot year prior and didn’t want to be a backup. so left for a place he could start elsewhere at Minny. Which his return to kinnick didn’t go to well for him.
as for his dad came to west branch thinking he was hot stuff being from the Chicago burbs and burnt a lot bridges and rubbed people the wrong way replacing a legendary coach there.

Good for him as he has probably worked hard. But the hawks have had a lot of really good corners the past 4 or so years.
