Need some guidance for the game Hawkeye friends.....

An older friend of mine who as big of a Hawkeye fan as I am went through some health issues. Thankfully, he is doing better and another person donated their 2 tickets for this weekends game to him and he asked me to go.

Neither of us has been to a Hawk game in YEARS. We would love to see Gameday and also find an easy place within walking distance of Kinnick to park after that.

So, if we go to Gameday...where do people park downtown that would be close to the Penticrest? Is it even going to be worth the try? I can't help but think that there simply will not be any parking for us unless we get there by 6 am. He is elderly...so that is probably out if we can't find something within a few blocks.

Then for game parking, someone mentioned a Mennonite church on Myrtle Ave. Does anyone have any experience with this place for gameday parking? If that is not an option...where else could we go.

Hancher has the bus up to the games, might take a while to get out depending on when you leave the game. It's free, and there is a shuttle. Not sure of the routes that will be running tomorrow, but red route should take you up near the downtown area for gamey

Depends on how far your friend can walk. I have never had a problem getting a spot in the ramp at Burlington and Dubuque. It's less than a 10 minute walk from there to the Pentacrest.

Used uber for Iowa State. Getting to the game was no problem, after the game was a different story. We walked for awhile before we could get an uber afterwards
