They do try to even it back up after the game has been decided. The big 10 officials could learn a lot from the SEC on how to protect Michigan and Ohio State. They need a course on how to control the outcome without being so obvious. The SEC referees are masters at it.
Any time we:
Earn a first down-holding.
Cross the 50- personal foul hands to the face mask.
Score on a long pass- OPI or holding.
Break a long punt return- block in back.
Sack QB-personal foul Hans to mask
Knock down a 3rd down pass-DPI

Who said anything about confidence? This thread is about the inevitable with SEC headquarters in Birmingham. Teams practice the week before they play Alabama with the OL holding on every play because they know the officials won't throw flags on Alabama. We are not alone in the SEC.

The problem is we have been getting so many penalties in the past 2 games, the refs could call a completely legit game and we wouldn’t benefit.
Typical officiating - no offensive holding calls on Bama, unless they're well ahead of us in the 4th quarter. We'll have several critical penalties called on us, not necessarily undeserved.
