I somewhat disagree. If they win all these cupcakes the record will allow those voters that exhibit bias with that now familiar refrain, “they beat those on the schedule. What more could they do?”.I see we are The only ranked team they play the rest of the year. So no way to get back in the rankings and mix for CFP . Perils of playing a patsy schedule.
They are so over-rated and were talking so much smack before the season . Its a pitiful conference outside of Miami.I see we are The only ranked team they play the rest of the year. So no way to get back in the rankings and mix for CFP . Perils of playing a patsy schedule.
If they win out and beat an undefeated Miami in the ACC title game they can still get in.I see we are The only ranked team they play the rest of the year. So no way to get back in the rankings and mix for CFP . Perils of playing a patsy schedule.
The selection committee will use a strength of conference metric for the first time this year in deciding at large bids so they’re screwed unless the outright win the conference. Hate it for them, I’ll lose sleep over it.I somewhat disagree. This. It’s possible but that’s the only path.If they win out and beat an undefeated Miami in the ACC title game they can still get in.
But that’s the only possible way.
Starting QB may be out for next game.No way am I ruling out U of L. They have real weapons.
Keinholz = LaMar Jackson 2.0. Lincoln IS Louisville's success. UL is not a ranked team without that QB.Could be true with their QB rumored to be out multiple weeks
I do not see that happening sans a fully healthy Lincoln Keinholz. Kid really is that good. And their defense really is that bad.If they win the ACC they are in
Keinholz is injured. Like losing LaMar Jackson. Maybe he only misses a week, but we will see.No way am I ruling out U of L. They have real weapons.
If he doesn't call plays, then baby Brohm is exposed and has to earn his paycheck.Kind of like Ryan Day a few years ago, some Card radio hosts were questioning whether Brohm should be calling the plays. That he cannot give attention to key issues on the field because he has to focus on dialing up the next play.
I hope you are correct but I’ll believe it when I see it.The selection committee will use a strength of conference metric for the first time this year in deciding at large bids so they’re screwed unless the outright win the conference. Hate it for them, I’ll lose sleep over it.

Not necessarily. Duke won the ACC last year but didn't make the playoffs. Miami did and they didn't even make the ACC championship game.If they win the ACC they are in
Vandy didn’t get in last year at 10-2 with their only two losses to #10 bama and #20 Texas and they had four wins against top 20 teams. The NCAA announced last week that they will use a strength of conference metric in at large bids and there are only six of those available. The ACC has three teams in the top 25, the selection committee will choose a 9-3 SEC team over a 10-2 ACC team based on strength of schedule. The only way possible for them to get in is to win the conference, not say they can’t do that as they’re pretty good with Kienholz (sp) but they have to win out and beat Miami though Pitt can’t be ruled out.I hope you are correct but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I don’t disagree with your logic and argument. If schedule is indeed taken into account You are absolutely correct. I just don’t trust the people who put it together. Furthermore I don’t trust the ACC to have Miami, if they are undefeated going into champio nship game throw it in order to get a second team in playoffsVandy didn’t get in last year at 10-2 with their only two losses to #10 bama and #20 Texas and they had four wins against top 20 teams.
