Someone that can translate legal talk for normal folks please help me understand this and what it means for our big 3
Not much at this point. The usual course of litigation is trial court > appeals court > supreme court. The NCAA has already appealed the decision to the appeals court; now, it has asked the supreme court to skip the appeals court step and take it up directly. If granted, it would theoretically bring a conclusion to this case more quickly. But (1) the court hasn’t granted that motion yet and (2) there would still need to be briefing at the supreme court level, so there’s a good chance this isn’t resolved before the end of the season.Someone that can translate legal talk for normal folks please help me understand this and what it means for our big 3

I agree with you totally. They will just have to keep wining.12th in the coaches poll today.
Just keep winning.
Louisville has been pesky when we’ve played them lately.#16 UL is coming off a pretty bad 1-0 loss to UC Davis (3-6, entered the game with an rpi of 60)
This is a nice road game: at the location of this year's Final FourLouisville has been pesky when we’ve played them lately.
We’re certainly much better on paper, but we definitely need to be focused and hungry.
I believe the fact that they know we basically need to win out helps them keep focus.
Been to that McDonalds many times lol (Fiancé went to grad school at Louisville)Hopefully the smell McDonalds isn’t too distracting today!
Gooo Heels!
Was terrible during the ACCT last year (If I remember correctly and it was her last year)I do not know who the UNC vs UL game announcers will be.
Since it is being streamed on ACCNX, hopefully the team will not include former
Cardinal FH player and UL grad Suzanne Bush.
Good question. I do not know but what I will say is what EM said the other day. Our girls will have to take it one game at a time. We must play up to our standard, have fun while we are playing, follow and trust the game plan, and leave it all out on the field. I think these words by EM should accomplish what you are trying to say without jinxing them. Go Heels! Is there a way to express confidence in a desired outcome without appearing to jinx one's team?![]()
Not sure the best words, but I think when we play up to our standard, it’s going to be really tough for anyone to beat us. Even that purple team.Is there a way to express confidence in a desired outcome without appearing to jinx one's team?![]()
They’ve always had a very stout defense. Felt like they played us the hardest last year in the ACCT too.Heels 3-0
Cardinals played hard. Prevented what could have been a more lopsided score.
I do not think Merritt minds. That indicates that our team defense is outstanding. This is what EM, staff, and us fans want. Remember UNC80 when we lost those four games, fans were complaining about the defense and lack of offense. You cannot have it both ways. Just sit back and enjoy that we have our three graduate students being able to play. We do not know what can happened with these court cases. Just enjoy the moment. I am so glad that we won again on the road. Go Heels!Merritt must be feeling forgotten. Nearly entire quarter was played in Louisville's half.
Most of that was caused by our freshmen and players who played very little last year. They were rushing instead of taking their time.Need to have more intention in the circle. Too many passes to nobody.
I don't think so. Their goal keeper is very good as noted in the pregame. She stopped a lot of the PC's by herself. Sometimes when you play another good team and EM did say that Louisville was a very good team, you have to find other ways to win and that is exactly what we did.Excellent win.
Think we possessed for maybe 80% of the game.
Need to clean up PCs.
That’s correct, but at the same time, there’s always room for improvement.I don't think so. Their goal keeper is very good as noted in the pregame. She stopped a lot of the PC's by herself. Their flyer had the best game I have ever seen, she outright blocked 80% of shots and never drew a 2nd PCExcellent win.

I agree we just need to focus on winning. Then we can let the chips fall as they may. Great win on the road. Go Heels!Obviously, we just need to keep winning! Sure looks like a different team out there with that talent & experience returning.
