2nd time ever but the first 20 years ago didn't go too well.
Oh I don't remember the other time just the one 20 years ago.
Really crappy attitude to have. I don't like ESPN and haven't watched GameDay for years other than the picks at the end of the show, but it is the most recognized and watched college football pregame hype show, and constantly features all of the marquee programs in the country. Iowa City being featured should not be something that we try to avoid.
There is such thing as changing historical trends....just look at our OC/QB.
This is exactly where I'm at too. Amazing exposure. They will love the wave as well, etc.

Exactly 20 years ago since game day came with OSU in town. That game was miserable, I was there. I’ll probably sit this one out. Go hawks, keep it respectable this time.

Yep…the exposure is good for Iowa. Wonder what the over/under will be on the # of corn field pics they show? I’m guessing at least 4 times.
Tailgating that day was insane. Perfect weather. 20+ years of tailgating the atmosphere all around IC wherever you went that day may be the best very least top 5 for me.
This will also be the first time in Iowa City that GameDay has a guest picker.

You're right. And that means exactly nothing.
I sat out the OSU game in 2017 because I was absolutely convinced Iowa was in for an embarrassing defeat, so I sold our tickets. And you know the rest: The Hawkeyes made #3 Ohio State look like little boys as Nate Stanley and the gang decimated Urban Meyer and his boys 55-24, one of the worst defeats in OSU history, and I believe the most lopsided loss in Meyer's career.
You can be sure I ain't sellin' my tickets this time. I'll be there with 70,000 other folks ready to do whatever fans can do to help the Hawkeyes shock the world for the second week in a row. History doesn't have to be prologue.
Yah, you'd think the video folks would get tired of it and actually go out and get some footage that shows there's more to Iowa than corn and bean fields.

They will open up showing a Combine harvesting corn. Hopefully it will be a black n gold Combine.

Be pretty tough to show that for real considering every field in Iowa currently has 2 feet of mud. Ain’t any equipment going in any field for at least a couple weeks.
So we are going to bust out those 2017 alternative jerseys right?
