Mizzou’s defense was very impressive

They played the same defense as they did against Leach a lot tonight.
Yeah, I was concerned how long it took Lebby to realize that. They started keeping two safeties deep - were not going to let the deep ball beat them. Was driving me crazy how wide open the middle of the field was 2nd / 3rd quarter and we couldn’t take advantage

At one point in the 3rd they showed a replay from behind K1- if he handed the ball off there was legitimately no one in front of fluff for 25+ yards. He’s gotta take what they’re giving him, felt like he tried to force it tonight. But bama is probably going to scheme very similarly next week

That view was crazy, and that’s the play K1 got dinged up on. Fluff was standing there in pass protection looking to block someone but there was literally no one to block

I think K1 has so much arm strength that short passes are more difficult for him. It was a short pass that he got an interception on. In some ways, he is like the opposite of Will Rogers, who only seemed to be able to do short passes.

I think KT has had a slight muscle pull and now a slight ankle injury, it has some effect on some throws BUT his arm strength is incredible. I also think we are being somewhat conservative with him running the ball which i get it. We can't afford to lose him on a injury.

what do you consider a short pass? The target was 15 yards downfield. I'm not saying that's a bomb downfield but don't think it's a short pass either

At least he realized it eventually. That's an improvement over the last two seasons.

Their coach made the right adjustments. Definitely the most talent we’ve seen yet. That was a much bigger response from us tonight than when down 16-0 last week.
They are a very good team and Drinkwitz is a really good coach despite what this guy thinks:

That was a big win last night.

The right end must has been hurt in 1Q ….dont think I saw him the rest of the game after he abused LT on first drive

They really took us out of what we want to do offensively in the 2nd & 3rd quarter like the other 3 teams we’ve played didn’t. I saw a lot more 2-man routes because we were in max protect to help out our OL. That really limits us offensively.

That defense whipped us most plays in the trenches. I felt their OL won the battle of the trenches but we won the war!
