This is exactly why everyone should never donate to any NIL fund. There is no return on that investment and the players know this and take the money laughing.

I wonder if coaches feel obligated to play someone after they paid them that much money?

Yes. Of course. Combine that $$ with the fact that the coach likely "ok'd" that money.....and the coach now looks doubly stupid if he benches him. Which is why he doesn't bench him.

You cut your losses. Beamer can't do that. Doesn't have the brains for it.

If you are going to leave Sellers in at QB, he needs to be a runner and a QB that hands the ball off to Fuller. Throw only when we have to! We have got to control the clock, especially when other teams can just throw deep on us and score so quickly.

At the time, after his first full year, some on here were comparing him to Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton. I think Superman was the common nickname to a lot of fans?

If we let him leave, the fans would have panicked and revolted. But in reality, him being "stolen" might have been the best thing for us.

Little did we know.

well, I suspect we will be treated to several more games of Sellers doing what he does and Beamer clapping him up with encouragement.

Sellers fumbles a lot when he runs. He's actually very fragile. No killer instinct at all.
Over the past two years, he’s become a typical run-to-the-sideline QB. In his defense, he may have been told by Beamer or Briles to do that. If so, it’s costing the offense yardage and potentially, wins. He broke through the line on a play last night, was 5–10 yards past the line of scrimmage, saw the AL secondary coming in 20 yards away, and immediately went on a 45° angle straight to the sideline. He’s playing scared.

there’s no way that Sellers or anyone else for that matter, would leave $8 million on the table to stay here at South Carolina.

Well, the offer reported was for 8 million over 2 years. He was reported to be making 3.6 or 3.7 million here. So it wasn't a giant leap.
