You can't say we don't have a weapons. I think if longergan can avoid crushing turnovers that we will win a couple games moving forward
Bingo. They always had weapons here and there.
The coaching and recruiting on the other hand…
We have 2 players who are top half of the Big 10. It takes 11.You can't say we don't have a weapons. I think if longergan can avoid crushing turnovers that we will win a couple games moving forward
One indisputable fact that should not be dismissed is that we lead the conference, if not the country, in coaching staff depth. We have 2 players who are top half of the Big 10. It takes 11.
…And turnovers going into last night. One indisputable fact that should not be dismissed is that we lead the conference, if not the country, in coaching staff depth.
I think there were 4 NFL Olinemen on that team too, no?Yes we have 1 NFL receiver and 1 NFL running back. In order to succeed at Rutgers, you need 2 NFL receivers, 1 NFL quarterback, 2 NFL running backs, and all 11 NFL players on defense. And that doesn’t even get you the Orange bowl. How about the Texas Bowl?
Actually 3We have 2 players who are top half of the Big 10. It takes 11.
Ya he sure does squander talent doesn’t heYes we have 1 NFL receiver and 1 NFL running back. In order to succeed at Rutgers, you need 2 NFL receivers, 1 NFL quarterback, 2 NFL running backs, and all 11 NFL players on defense. And that doesn’t even get you the Orange bowl. How about the Texas Bowl?
Can’t happen. Greg needs his insanely bloated Football Staff of 120.We do seem to be playing better but I believe we still don't have a four-star OL on the roster. You need push and protection. Couldn't get a foot when needed. Should have cut support staff by millions and used the money to buy some OL's to shore up the line.
Back when my son was on the Jaguars OL with E. Monroe - they trained together and they combined a combination of body building, yoga and martial arts. Plus a very strict diet for lean muscle build. at over 300lbs- each were able to do 20+ pullups.Getting highly rated WRs and RBs at RU have never been a problem. Some skill positions rely a lot of native ability (RBs know how to run). OL is hard because you have to find big people who are nimble and strong. A lot of big OL in HS are clodhoppers. Good technique helps massively on OL/DL but a lot of HS coaches cant teach it. Aaron Donald is small for his position but he's a magician at technique. I've long thought RU ball should make a decision to be OL centric. Get the best coaches and pay them. Get the best recruits and treat them like stars with special housing and gourmet chefs. Get (legit) martial arts teachers and sumo wrestlers to cultivate them on explosive nuance and mindset. Lifting weights and wrestling don't do enough. A good Shaolin martial arts practitioner can put a "big fatty" on his butt with a 6" pop to chest
