To encourage people to get to the stadium at 9 am, they are offering half off all concessions, including beer. This is 3 hours before kickoff.

Good intentions and all with the Presidential security slowing down entry. But I don't see this going well at all.

So beers will only be $7?
Will this cause people to drink more than they would at their tailgates?
I was thinking something similar a little earlier today. That is, I guess this means that a rubber hot dog, stale chips with radioactive cheese, and a watery beer will only cost $25 for a limited time.

It’s actually really smart. Everyone will be drinking outside anyway. Might as well make some money off of it and have the crowd more ready than usual for an 11:00 game

Early drinking isn't for everyone and certainly not for me at my age. I remember we had a late game against LSU years ago and my LSU buddies came up. They started drinking at around 10 and had to go back to the hotel before kickoff because they were so drunk.

It’s only for an hour - from 9 to 10 AM so I don’t think there is going to be any drunken impact.
People rather stay outside at their tailgate and drink for much less and for longer.
