While the start to this season hasn't gone as expected, there is no taking away from what Schiano has done on the banks after twice taking over the worst team in college football. The fact we're in the BIG 10 with an expanded stadium and have bowl game expectations every year is because of Greg.

Tonight he gets win number 100. A huge milestone for a Rutgers coach. Whether you're happy or not with him right now, we should all show him the respect he deserves for this milestone. Let's get off our seats and applaud the greatest coach this university has ever had. Thank you Greg.

and before the haters like @RU Cheese destroy this thread. Let's remember that posters like him have never built anything in their lives. They have never started a company or a practice or coached a team. They are low level W2 yes men employees who know nothing but hate. Greg has made more in a year coaching football than these guys have made in a decade at their low level jobs.

Mixed feelings. What he inherited with Schiano 1.0 was a true mess and he turned the program around with the limited resources ($$$) he had to work with. College football is now a different world with NIL etc. and he has not kept pace. That's partly his fault and partly the fault of the pre-Keli administration.

By definition, he won't have his 100th win until the 4th quarter clock hits triple zeroes. At that point there will be maybe 5,000 people in the stadium. They will get up to leave. I guess some will be cheering as they do. So that counts as a standing ovation, I suppose.

Can’t keep up if the fans don’t pony up. Can’t do anything without budget. Of course he’s not fault free, but let’s be real here.

Only at Rutgers do we give someone a standing ovation for getting paid $5 million dollars per win and its against a team with a historically bad football program. He would have gotten a lot of people standing up if he won last week. You shouldn't get a standing O for beating Howard.

Yes he helped build the program, blah blah blah, but he is geting paid a sh*t ton of money to do a job he isn't doing very well.

Apparently Greggo the Great can lose to teams he has 10x the budget of. No winner does that. 100 wins means nothing when you've been coaching for 25 years. I don't care where you do it.

Isn't there some saying about how meritless one's arguments are if they result to personal attacks?

Have you even watched the games or are you just parroting Michael Kay? Look, I don't fawn over Gary like a battered wife or a fanboy - I just want what's best for RU Football. To me, that's a good understanding of the modern game, the ability to evaluate and coach QBs, not having a defensive minded coach who has the worst defense in the league, not going 0-100 against ranked teams, not having the biggest staff in the conference that's packed with nepotism and valueless underqualified staff, and not getting destroyed by borderline 1A teams.

Gary did some good things here. He's done, the game has passed him by, and the only thing more embarrassing than the product he puts on the field are the losers - and that's the right word - that celebrate this terd and want to give him a participation trophy.

Schiano already won his 100th game. His all time record as a head coach is a paltry 110-132.

I give a lot of credit to him and his agent. They are masters at selling the dream. Unfortunately also masters at not delivering it. The NFL caught on to him real quick. Tennessee fans are unfortunately more savvy than Rutgers fans. They knew what they were getting and did a sit in against Schiano. A sit in FOR Greg Schiano lol. We get the results we deserve.

According to my friend AI, there are ten active FBS coaches with 100 or more wins going into tonight’s game. Of course once they fire him that list of active coaches will go back down to 10. Evens so, it is quite an accomplishment.

First time, long time. Year after year I sit back and read superfan troll the fanbase as an Al wannabe while Greg loses more and more. The program will never turn around with sycophants like superfan apologizing for a Munson like greg. 2 good wins in 20 years and guys like this want us to to celebrate.

A standing ovation for a win over Howard? What a disgrace! Please join the real world. Over 17 plus seasons he is well below .500 as a HC. The university has been more than patient and extremely generous to him. The university has made GS a very wealthy man. The defense has been terrible going on 3 years now. He made his reputation as a defensive coach. There is no more of a powerful reason to move on from the Schiano era then that. If RU beats IU , he can get an extension to the end of the season only.

I'm not on RT. I think he coached HS or still does. Anyways, expect a lot of idle complaints in next couple of weeks
