Started The Last Ship this past week- very good and entertaining but there are times it is so hard to watch Dane in it, knowing what is to come. RIP

Yes she is- I also liked the 2nd season girl who was the communications expert with the red streaks in her hair.
First two episodes of The Westies on MGM+ were pretty good, series has potential.

Just now starting Widow’s Bay myself, really into it so far. Major RU connection too: the creator, Katie Dippold, is an alum. Plus, she was the one behind this classic tweet, so maybe horror/comedy fusion was just destined to be her calling.
I enjoyed the first season- tried the second season and after the first couple of episodes- it just seemed like individual actors vying for an emmy award. It became unbearable. I have no idea if it became more interactive after that but I couldn't do it.
Dutton Ranch is good, though Beth is on GPLs and he baps are disappearing.
Finished watching THE BEAR. Good show. Relatable to the characters on the show. As opposite as both show are, it had Ted Lasso vibes in that you was hoping for the best for the characters.
Great ending as you see who did what at the end for most. Hope there’s no Ted Lasso like Season 6 money grab.

Finished up The Last Ship, fun show but so many questions during it. The main one, if a plague is what started this, why is it that it seemed that it also wiped out all of the ships helicopters and planes.
Watched on my own ( binged in 3 days). Now watching again this time with Mrs. Bird. 34 years married and I think only the second show we watched together, Lost being the first.
Thought it was terrible.
Last Ship is good as is Lucky so far.
Some of my favorite binges over the past two years:
- Agency - Thought Fasbender and Gere were great along with storyline.
- MobLand- second season coming out later this year. Great cast.
- Industry - First season was porn heavy but it was somewhat of a British version of Billions. Got better and better.
- Dutton Ranch - Rip/Beth good - Annette Benning terrible.
- The Madison- Another Taylor Sheridan that was kind of predictable.
- Landman - Billy Bob is great in this role.
- Your Friends and Neighbors - John Hamm and Amanda Peet
Some we tried that didn’t stick - Widows Bay, Rooster, Stick, Pluribus

Halfway through Season 1 of LANDMAN on Paramount. Good show, working environment is brutal AF. Can’t go wrong with Billy Bob.
Finished s3 of Tires on Netflix, getting better each season imo. If you're looking for a pretty classic (though extremely profane) workplace sitcom, it'll scratch that itch. Minimal time investment - 12-episode seasons (s1 was only 6), <30 mins an ep. Lots of familiar faces if you're into the standup comedy scene too.
I am actually in my 3rd go around with The Walking Dead. And a thought never occurred to me...For those that have not watched it and plan to do so- I am about to share some of the plot...
Early on- It is discovered that the virus is in everyone, and that is why, even if you die of natuarl causes, you will turn.
What is never explained and does not make sense. If the virus is in everyone- then why does a bite turn you even if you do not die. The virus is already there. A bite shouldn't make a difference unless you die.

I have not watched The Wire yet - Was always on my list as it is always listed as a top 5 type show of all time.
Interesting thing- I have gotten to know Coach Calvin Ford pretty well down here in Baltimore over the past 4-5 months or so. Will be having dinner with him and his wife Sharon tonight.
I only found out last week that the character, Dennis Cutty Wise is based on Calvin. I'm not going to bring it up to him but do need to watch the show now.

Not a tv show and didn’t realize this was coming out but as a one time Raider fan curious to see it. Wouldn't have ever thought of Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale as the John Madden Al Davis duo lol.
great show until the last season or so- i had no idea what was going on in the last seasonI am ashamed that I am enjoying Shameless
It's not new but I haven't seen it in forever and I just started to watch from the beginning. Although some of the production and fight scenes seem low quality to me now, "Banshee" on HBO Max is still my favorite show of all time. Well, besides like comedy sitcoms.

Maybe not my favorite show of all time but it's up there .Season 4 of Ted Lasso could’ve been much better if they focused on the Women’s Team this season the same way they focused of the progress and growth of the men’s team in the first 3 seasons. Instead the show wasted time with two separate will he/ she rom com stories.
I’m sure there’s not many here who watched A DIFFERENT WORLD in the 90s. But the reboot/ 2.0/ New version of the show dropped on Netflix. Not many shows can fuse together what’s going on with the original 1990s cast as the parents/ older people with the current cast as the students/ children. Good job with that and actually good stories.
Just finished Neagley s1 on Prime. Fantastic. Also see Last Ship above. Excellent. Liked the first few seasons a little better but good all the way through. Will always recommend Homeland and Dark.

Neagley is a great show. Always liked that character in Reacher. Prime is building universes for some of these shows. They did this with Bosch.

Yea don’t like this season as much as the others.
I suppose that’s the natural course of things. You hope a show can have the same magic as when it started but more often than not it’s just trying to milk it but the magic is gone.
