OT - Who has solar? Anyone in SoCal and also have SCE?

I have solar out here in SoCal and get jacked by my electric company, SCE, for a "true up" once a year. Two years ago the true up was $600 (okay that is high but I can live with it) Last year it was $1,500 ( what the heck is going on this is a bad joke). This year it looks like I'm headed for it being $1,800 (gulp). The other 11 months my SCE bill is minimal but of course I pay a monthly solar bill as well and I think this true up wipes out any efficiencies with solar. With this true up being so high I don't think I am saving any money versus non solar. Maybe it is a wash.

Anyone else have this happen?

I've had solar panels installed in 2016 in PA. My bill is reconciled monthly so I don't get a big bill. I also don't have a solar bill since we bought the system outright. We have 102 panels because we have a total electric home.

Isn't that what California voted for?

Do you get or are you enrolled for ersatz credits. Here in pa. I can sell credits to polluters to offset any penalties they may incur.

I live in PA and have solar. The original deal was that they would be installed for free and the company would collect the credits. Tesla bought the original company. I bought the solar panels from Tesla, but the bastards keep on collecting the credits and won't release them. The kicker is that after the purchase from Tesla, I added more solar panels. Damned if Tesla isn't collecting the credits on them, too. To top it off, I bought two Tesla powerwalls that were supposed to give a $500 rebate each. Yep, no rebate check. This has been going on since February.

I am gathering info for my state rep to get the attorney general involved. I can't be the only person in the state being screwed by Elon.
