Very interesting read. He is referred to as a "genius." This is the guy who help make Coach Stein into what he is today. Gents, we are in very good hands.

Andrew Coverdale never played much football. He’ll tell you that himself. His playing career ended in eighth grade, and by most conventional measures, that should have been the end of his story in the sport. Instead, it became the beginning of one of the more quietly remarkable careers in American football coaching, a journey that has taken him from lugging pads at LSU to the press box at the University of Kentucky, where he now serves as pass game coordinator under head coach Will Stein.

I think that is a great story and I’m happy for him. I think that you sharing that information will only feed the fire for the trolls, especially those games where the passing game is bad. I hope he is what we need to become relevant in the conference going forward (If not, this year)

Big reason Trinity became a national power. UK’s offense contains a whole bunch of Trinity’s style. Both he and Will brought that Trinity swagger to UK.
When I first heard that Barnhart was going after Will I hoped that Coach Coverdale would eventually be part of the deal. I remember from his Trinity days that the family was UK season ticket holders and that Matt played for UK. I knew it would be a great fit. So thrilled that we have a guy in Coach Stein that has been a WINNER his entire career. People don't understand the influences he had in the Trinity program with coaches like Coverdale, Beatty, Petrino, Brohms. He played HS QB in a college system. It will yield dividends. I'm pumped.

Coverdale has forgotten more about offense than our last...oh, never mind. Don't want to start that conversation again. Well, I suppose a little bit.

I sent several emails to Mitch B and CMS starting in 2022 recommending they look at Will Stein as a possible OC. That spot was a problem and Will was at UTSA and doing really well.

Stayed after them but once Will got to Oregon that wasn't going to happen,

However, when CMS left I assume Mitch saw Will in the playoffs. I honestly wanted J Sumrall as HC due to his experience as a HC. However, Mitch waited too long. Guess he did check Will out and was impressed. I have been as well as he sure seems prepared at the young age of 36.
