Stirtz averaged 19.8, Banks 10.6 and Folgueiras 8.5 points last season. Total = 38.9 points

Koch 7.8, Manyawu 6.9, Combs 6.2, Sage 5.6, Howard 5.1, Jirak 3.4. Total = 35 points

Add through portal - McKeever 8.2, Coleman 9.8

Add Thompson, Harris and Coon

Last year - Center and PF total - Manyawu, Bank, and Folgy totalled 29.4 points

This year - McKeever 8.2 + Manyawu 6.9 + Jirak 3.4 + Thompson + Harris. Need to make up 10.9 points. I think our front court will be stronger. Both scoring and rebounding.

SF - Koch, Howard and Coon should exceed last years 12.9 points

Back Court - Biggest challenge, replacing Stirtz's 19.8 points. I expect Sage and Combs to exceed last year's 11.8 to make up part of Bennett's points. Doubt Coleman will average 9.8 but he should help close the gap.

I trust Ben and company to offset the losses.

Bottom line, if they can achieve last year's defensive average of 66.3 points, they'll win a lot of games.

I don't look at scoring numbers. Look at shots. It's not like someone isn't going to be filling the shoes and taking those shots.

I can see our offense being better (more efficient) with having more guys involved with getting shots. Too often last year we just held ball and dropped a grenade in Stirtz lap for him to try to bail us out late clock.

I also think as does Ben that we could be a much better defensive team this year too.

A few role adjustments, and Abracadabra! We have good, high character, defensive minded, and talented players. Love the Dynamics of College Basketball!

The unknowns are: How many points can we generate on offense and will there be a true "Go To" guy? And how will pace affect the players? I'm confident in the team's defensive principles.

Losing a #16 draftee superstar pg is like losing a brad banks in football....a big deal .
Pg is qb of bb team.
I am very skeptical about the offense operating even more efficiently without their all American pg.
He was the straw that stirred the drink....

Not to mention that he created a lot of gravity with the ball in his hands. Opened shots for others.

It wasn't just his points, but also how he got them. He was a go to guy at the end of the shot clock. He also drew lots of fouls and made a ton of free throws. I think some of the three point shooting will be picked up by others, but the question is more on those first two items on offense, along with his ball distribution.

Ben's already publicly stated that 35 minutes our offense is going to be solid. It is that last 5 minutes, the closer that Bennett was that they still need to work on. And it may not be one guy. But having guys make the winning plays late is huge in close games obviously.

The nice thing is, that the way Ben uses screening actions his PG's are going to put the defense in disadvantages... the key is them making the proper reads and being able to deliver like Bennett did. Thus far hearing good things on that front from both Combs and Coleman during fall practices.

Really enjoyed all of those "Flipping Screens" and slips too. :)
