Who is the Interim Coach when Schiano is Relieved of Duty?

Al, as in RutgersAl, and not Artificial Intelligence. Can't get any worse and he has all the answers.
I think it should be Brock. This allows both the OC and DC to not have to also do all the duties of a HC.
TJ has proven nothing. The D is awful so it’s not going to be him

TJ was a HC last season but appears way over his head as a B1G DC { only 2 stops on all USC possessions on Saturday). Forgot about Brock…might be the best option.
Heard his personality isn’t the best. Interim guys are more about keeping the team positive. Think Penn St last year. Not sure who that is.
They will play hard for whoever it is. They are pros now and high character kids.
In Lacrosse or Rugby you’re dealing with volunteer coaches so people show up or play hard when they feel like it.

Also has NFL experience. But quite frankly it doesn’t matter, the season is lost, whether they win just one or three games doesn’t matter, and whoever comes in will massively turn over the roster.
Doesn't make a great deal of difference since we're going to hire a new coach at season's end. Let's see what Woodley can do. He is after all 87-9 and a former Big 12 captain. I don't want a guy who was a failure at Delaware (4 losing seasons at a pretty good program), and I'd like to keep the coordinators in place. Let's see what he can do. Why the heck not? I think Middle America NAIA D2 is way above D3. Might catch lightening in a bottle.

I really do not see a change during the year. It will not make a difference. And the one thing Greg does well- is keep things organized and in line. Play on the field and recruiting and NIL are not going to move one way or another if we do or do not let him go. So- for the money we are paying him- have him work for it.
Unless- there is a guy out there that Keli and Tate feel is the immediate answer, you may as well wait until that guy they want is available. But, Greg should not be here a day after the season ends unless he turns things around like we have never seen before

It’s a statement. It says you are serious about winning. It also is important to let current and potential brand partners know they aren’t investing in an entity where losing is acceptable. There are some big deals floating around. This is the most important piece.
The D being awful had little to nothing to do with TJ! He was brought in so late, post the recruiting and portal. No one on the defensive side our his players.
This is a Greggay disaster again. Let TJ recruit and use the portal to bring in guys to run his system. Then we can evaluate TJ

First of all he is never going to have the chance to recruit here and use the portal because the next coach is going to bring in his own coordinators, hopefully guys with FBS experience. Secondly, if by coming in late he wasn’t going to be able to improve the D this year, he shouldn’t have accepted the job in the first place. Either he has bad judgement or just did it for the big paycheck.

Let me clue you in real quick:
D1, D2 and D3 - high level collegiate athletes who played at the best high schools around the nation and some of whom will eventually play professionally. Most have a partial athletic scholarship and/or get paid otherwise (NIL/academic $$$) Coaches and staffs make plenty of $$$ and have the full support of their athletic departments. Play in front of thousands during the regular season and 10's of thousands on Memorial Day Weekend. See: Guys like @Caliknight @mdk02 and a few others around here played for Rutgers.
Club Lax - No coaching. No fans. No money. Essentially guys like me freezing their asses off on the Livingston Rec Fields at 11PM on a Tuesday evening in Feb/March. See: guys like me.
100% SPOT-ON right here (despite being in the camp that Greg has "earned" coaching out the season if he so chooses to do so upon being told he's not going to be here thereafter).
2 stops (not including running out the clock) while allowing 2 TD drives (other than a short field) was the best a defense has done against USC this year. They had 17 TD drives while 9 drives ended in Turnover or Downs entering the game at RU. I'm not sure why the general consensus was the defense played poorly against USC. The defense didn't look any worse to me than they did at BC or against UMass, but the level of talent on the USC offense should have made them look much worse. I think the defense has been getting better, but I agree it will likely struggle the rest of the year excluding this Friday.
IMHO The interim coach is generally irrelevant. It is rare when an interim head coach promoted to permanent head coach is successful. Guys like Dabo Swinney, Phillip Fulmer (who filled in for Johnny Majors at Tennessee while Majors recovered from a heart attack and later took over for Majors permanently), and Brent Key are more of the exception than the rule. Key is the only one I in my recent memory who turned around a floundering program, like RU is. The only thing an interim coach does is put Schiano in the rearview mirror. I think a coaching search for a replacement is still required. I'd want him to have some success, but not enough to keep the job next year.
In all my time here, I can’t remember when he’s posted anything that actually went on in a football or basketball game. Always trying to be the troll.
Actually I played for a non-Princeton Ivy. My connection with Rutgers lax came after college playing USCLA club lacrosse, at the time the top club league in the country that supplied over half the national team for the lax world cup. For 2 seasons I ran on the same midfield line as Bruce Van Ness, who is in the Rutgers Football Hall of Fame, after he retired from the CFL where he played TE. Unfortunately, he passed relatively young due to complications from Parkinson's but was a class guy.
Hard to do that when they aren’t your guys, don’t know your system, oh and are not talented .

Second point he joined the best conference in football on a team whose coach has a long term deal. Not bad judgement especially if he feels like with his background has a shot at interim
Problem is the Defense should be progressing under a new DC which it is clearly not. Saying we had some “success” by stopping USC twice the whole game vs. 9 stops combined by powerhouses San Jose St. and Fresno St. ( both games on the road at USC) is underwhelming.
