My first thought as well. Ridiculous to have a rivalry game in mid-december. That will be rendered into a neutral site game with no students and NCSU fans travelling the short distance easily.

With the students gone.
Wow, that really sucks. That is bad planning. How can a rivalry game like this happen when our students will be on break. This is one of those games where it would have been packed and lots of money would have been made on this day. Last year, we played them at their place in front of all of their fans. Here the sad thing, NC State is supposed to be one of our biggest rivalries along with Duke and we only play them once. Here is bias again. Notice we did not play them at their place when their students were on break. Explain why?

The deep disappointment on the timing of the State game stands out above everything else. Looking past it;
  • Late January has the California swing, Notre Dame, and dook all in a row - that's a tough stretch.
  • Some well timed week-long breaks in mid-January and mid-February.
  • Glad to get Clemson during the holidays, they keep getting better over time.

This decision, coupled with leaving both dook and the wolpfack off our upcoming baseball schedule, makes me wonder who UNC pissed off in the ACC headquarters. After playing both dook and the wolpfack on the road last season, they should have been coming to Boshamer this season.

the blame for this can be directly tied towards NC State flipping their vote on expansion which meant schools no longer would have the ability to play twice a year or at all in some sports.

I disagree on this fact. NC State IMO did the right thing in voting for the expansion. The all four power conferences did, and the ACC needed to do something; otherwise, this conference would have been left behind. We all saw how the Pac-12 disbanded. This help bring in more money for the conference as a whole and it provided a new market for the ACC. We are now reaping the rewards of the expansion. Remember, SMU told the ACC we do not care about the money, etc. Also, Carolina 151, NC State does not make out the schedule for the ACC; therefore, the blame should not be put on them since the conference makes out the schedule along with the AD's, etc.

Looking forward to the exhibition game with Davidson, which will cap off a busy sports weekend, starting at the DBAP Friday night with baseball playing the wolpfack, and then the football game at dook on Saturday. I just wish the Davidson game didn't overlap with field hockey vs Syracuse.

CB stated that our team will also scrimmage against Maryland before they travel to France to play Oklahoma. I think a lot of us did not know about the scrimmage against Maryland. I think this is great. Go Heels!

Now that the schedule is out I wonder when we will hear about season’s tickets? I know times are not set yet and I an not sure if that must be completed or will some of the game times be determined in season?

Having the game times set is not a requirement for assigning the season tickets. The vast majority of the men's games do not have start times, but those tickets show up in my Rams Club account.
