Reading several articles, catching up, and see Sarkisan now saying he should have exercised more patience......Arch Manning apologizing for laughing at AI generated videos.......thinking to myself as I watched games this weekend and the interviews seconds before kick off, the stupid questions at halftime going into the locker room.....Trinidad's F-bomb.....or the F-bombs from our sideline that were caught on audio

I don't think Sarkisan owes an apology or an explanation, I don't think Manning owes an apology or explanation for laughing at a fake video, and frankly, the sidelines are THEIR office environment and it's violent game, and if you don't want to hear a F-bomb, then cut the volume down.

Just seem like alot of manufactured outrage and it takes away from the game.

I don't need the on field coach interviews, they don't sway me, frankly annoy me b/.c I wish the networks would leave the people alone in and during their work environment, and this ain't checkers camp.....

I guess it's all just the further "wuss-iffication" of the American man

tired of the petty crap

It's a complete waste of time and interferes with the coach doing his job. I can see the after the game interview. But in-game interviews, even at quarter or halftime breaks, are a joke. And especially if Miss Piggy is doing them. If we have to have these things at least give us a hot sideline reporter.

What I've learned over the years is that a lot of people (not me) prefer the stuff going on around sports to the actual games. I don't care about 20 seconds of coach speak before the half but some people eat it up.

I don't understand why coaches agree to take an interview in the middle of a damn ballgame. I wonder if there is agreement within the TV contracts that they have to?

1000% AGREED on this..........

ESPN, one of the entities that should help to make sports, all around, better....... seems to be what is harming sports the most.

Again, I say this from the standpoint of you are stepping into the players/coaches moment, and in your over zealous effort to get a sound bite, now we are forcing them to apologize. I don't need these interviews to enjoy the game

I guarantee you when ESPN did the new tv contract with the SEC, one of the requirements was the stupid after quarter interviews with the coaches. If coaches skip that, they will probably get fined by the SEC.

Her claim to fame is that she had cancer and beat it. I'm sorry that she got cancer and glad that she beat it. But being fat, ugly, knowing nothing about sports, and beating cancer should not give you a sideline pass.

Can we just be honest for a moment - if it had been a more attractive and less obese, tired looking sideline reporter, Sark would have had no problem standing there and chatting with her for a while.

Why send in a sports 'journalist' when a dumb blonde talking head will do just fine?

More ditz and glitz please -- I mean, this is still America. Right?


P.S. I only watch the games and even those are getting difficult with the 5 minute commercial breaks and all the fluff (of the non-Bothwell variety).

Same here, I don't watch anything but the game. I don't want to hear the talking heads especially McAfee and Desmond Howard

I don't think I've ever heard anything interesting in an in-game interview.

With that being said, football games are a leisure past time mostly played by children and young fellas. If one of the coaches of one team pauses 45 seconds to chat at the half way mark, everything is still going to be ok.
