What changed with the OL?

Expected to be a strength preseason it was anything but the first two games, particularly UMass. Yesterday was a very different story. If their performance vs USC had been equaled in the first 2 games I think Rutgers would have won both.

The personnel is the same so what changed?

Run schemes. We ran basic meathead run plays against UMASS thinking we just bully them. Our RBs were also trying to hit home runs on every touch. Basically, we overlooked them and didn’t take them seriously.

Consider that USCs D is not that good. They gave up an avg of 28 pts to San Jose St and Louisiana - 2 bad G6 teams and at home. So going on the road against a “P4” team they give up 35.

USC is going to score a lot and give up a lot of points

with the exception of that stupid *** 4 down call , the entire play calling was so much more open with throws to the flat /a screen and use of Raymond. And Dylan even willing to run for it at times. WTF took so long.
