What?? Hell no. Don’t denigrate our WBB’s team—they’re **** ing winners! I’m depressed that after 100+ years of football that we don’t have the brains or the resources to field a decent stretch of winning. Thats pathetic!
I love all the FIRE BEAMER post. When has that made a difference? Hall of fame coaches, old coaches, young coaches, nothing really matters!
Our cheerleader coach cost us 15 yards in the first half. WE actually didnt play that bad in the first half. WE played scared to death. Good lord.

Beamer is the first head coach with no playcalling experience that we've hired, since possibly ever (anyone know who else?).
We need to lose our corners....that was about the most pathetic coverage I have seen! Tackling sucks *** too!
Well, I won't let a football game keep me depressed for more than a few hours. I found elk this morning, so I'm excited about going out later this week to try to get one. The silver lining of the Gamecocks looking so bad tonight is that I won't be fooled into shortening my hunt next Saturday to watch the Alabama game.
I will say I’m not surprised at the outcome and knew if MSU continued to do what they had been doing offensively, they would pick up big plays. The way the game played out was obviously disappointing. They’re offense if really good, and honestly, I didn’t feel good about it this week. I thought the defense did a good job in the first half at disrupting them offensively. Kamario Taylor might be the biggest difference maker Carolina has to defend this season, but everybody in this league is good and has difference makers. At the end of the day, Carolina blew a perfect opportunity and was outplayed. It definitely doesn’t get easier. Just fire Beamer and be done with it.
Fire Beamer and get who? Truth is Spurrier couldn't get it done, so the chances of anyone else being the savior is pretty laughable to me.
It can only be depressing if you have expectations. Why do you at this point have expectations of football?

Why do people always ask this, "get who"? Who cares. It's clear this guy won't put winning teams on the field consistently. Spurrier proved you can win here like many of us believed could be possible. But he was getting old and backed off in recruiting and then did a crappy job in his coaching hires post 2012. Pretty sure he has admitted the recruiting thing since leaving SC. So we could do this crazy thing where we try to hire a younger head coach from a lower level. And younger is a relative term for HC's, in case I need to say that. It's no guarantee for sure, but its clearly a better approach and a more proven approach than the current gig.
So let Beamer keep dragging us through sloppy play and implosions? I’m sure to the tune of 8+ Million dollars a year they could find a pretty qualified candidate. Quite frankly most coaches in America are basically on the table at a school like South Carolina. At least let Briles or White audition for the rest of the season while you explore options.

Let me see if I got this right....you want to fire Beamer and hire Briles or White. One gave up 40+ points and the other went brain dead from the 1 foot line and the entire second half. I would rethink that plan!
I'll refer to my first response to you. It's possible to win at SC. It's very difficult for some stupid reason, but it's possible. You and evidently the BoT believe otherwise so won't make anymore efforts to convince.

Off topic, but I remember some heated debates a few years back from people saying that posts on this board (or its previous version) controlled recruiting rankings and heavily influenced how kids played in games.

Agreed. There are, in fact, other guys out there who can coach. Many of them accept payment for doing so. A lot of them would even consider coaching here if we paid them.
you are correct sir- we lost a lot in the safety and other Kilgore. Problem is and continues now- we don't develop second string guys ever. the two I mentioned along with Smith started for 3 years- where is the secondary development. Where are the now junior year players that have put some bulk on and can actually cover- it is maddening. And why not put in different running backs more frequently. 4 guys that will get impatient and eventually leave.
Would have been in the playoffs 2 yrs. ago if it wasn`t for the refs on our home field vs. LSU. Finished what - #15? Could have easily won at least one game. As fans, we have very short memories. Am I optimistic about the rest of the season? No but I don`t think it`s time to give up. Some of the problems we have seem correctable but obviously there are some things that need changing. We have a very good OC but he has to work with the hand he was dealt. Our running game seems much improved so maybe we need to emphasize this more than we have already. Fuller was outstanding last night and the OL is clearly improved. Don`t know what happened on those busted defensive coverages but that obviously has to be fixed. I know Ole Miss had many busted coverages when they played Louisville but they must have found some solutions. Hopefully we can.

Look at the personnel on Spurrier's 10 wn teams. You think Beamer or anyone else wouldn't win with that roster?
What's clear is that NOBODY has put winning teams on the field consistently here, not just Beamer.
I have no idea what Beamer or anyone else would do with that roster, no one does.
I am depressed to the point I want to cry. And I am an 81 year old man and have been a Gamecock fan for circa 66 years. I have been waiting for the glory years to come in football but I now know I will never see them.
To be fair, discussing the one good year and not the 2 losing seasons that make up the past three years us also an example of having short memories.
