Goodness mercy.... It appears the guy is repentant of what happened... It's hard to think we would lock anyone up for a complete accident (as far as we know), yet it's hard to believe anyone would only get 150 days for that... What a terrible situation.

So causing fatalities when driving while texting only gets a misdemenor charge? If he was DUI, he'd been charged with manslaughter.
And the guy refused to talk to the NTSB or admit to texting while driving?

Seems the prosecutors have some explaining to do & NC laws need some scrutiny as well.

Sadly nothing with bring back these people who lost their lives, but we need to do more to prevent such accidents from happening in the future. There should be much tougher penalties for texting and driving. Far too often I see people either reading or texting while driving, this a very serious problem that needs to be addressed.
