Think we played everybody but a few fans after half
They really do have some weapons. I think they’ll beat EG and should give WL a fight.
Our game went about as expected. I’ll say one thing about BC, they have no help but the QB and Receiver #2 are very talented. Both have great size and skill. The rain made for a sloppy field but we got to play the whole roster so thays good playing time for the younger guys.
Yeah I was impressed with BCs QB. He did a lot. He could be productive if he was on a better team

Cherryville always seems to wow me during track season but dang why can’t those guys showcase that in pads LOL
The field is awful. We had to go for 2 every time because you can’t kick extra points without kicking on the school on one end or into the trees on the other. However they had a decent concession stand.
Hats off to HT. Those kids played as hard as they could. They need to find a different league for football. Not fair to those kids. #4 for them who is a good player, played middle school with all our kids, and if he was on a different team he could really help a team.
We played with no play clock and the ref blew whistle dead after we caught a pick. Could have been a pick 6. Showed HT some mercy
You can do that in high school sports? I get and understand a running clock but to disallow a touchdown is wild to me.
So this game was at Highland Tech? I’ve been hearing our game next week is being played at Forestview.

There was almost a 100 point loss in 1998. Obviously before running clock and whatever else. NW Cabbarrus and AL Brown. Yall remember the 97-0 crushing?? Nick Maddox was RB, went on to at least make Panthers practice squad years later. Coach Stamey didn’t even let his players on the field to shake hands. Couldn’t blame em

In 1942 Lee Edwards High School (Now Asheville High School) beat Hickory 94-0.My 8th grade teacher played on that Hickory team. He didn’t have any comments other than telling what the score was.
Some years later I met Charlie Justice who played on the Lee Edwards team that year. He was living in Cherryville, then. he said looking back on that game it was an embarrassment to have beaten a team so badly.
Today, teams are faster and many play a different style of offense involving passing so unfortunately massive numbers are going to be put up once in awhile.

About any knowledge I have, I’m afraid it all falls under the term “useless.”
I’m assuming. Cause there was no way a ball was supposed to be blown dead after we caught the pick and received position right after

My guess would be playoffs or maybe Shelby but Dawkins is doing one hell of a job. Kid is lightning fast and played great last night and the second half of Lincolnton game. Hard to be disappointed when a kid comes in and leads to 7 TD drives against a team like Lincolnton. He scored 3 himself.
Dawkins also brings a little more of a passing element so I think we're good
