What's the most important decision so far that you've allowed AI to play a huge role in making?

I've just purchased a used vehicle 12 hours from my home and chat helped me in ways I couldn't have imagined. Suggested tactics and contacts for a local pre-purchase inspection, recommended documentation that I wouldn't have otherwise known to ask for and did repeated deep dives on the VIN, warranty repair history and Carfax. It researched known issues with this particular model and gave me ways to get answers to questions without tipping what I was looking for.

It nailed the final asking price within $200 after recommending I walk away and wait for them to call.. which they did.

I'm blown away and pretty sure I won't need any of you for anything pretty soon.... **

I have used it to summarize and then compare specific parts of work proposals that are in disparate formats.


Pretty boring use case, but it saves a lot of time because I dont have to set up a comparison spreadsheet then manually pull info over and create a bunch of formulas.

I use AI to do a lot more these days. I have evaluated my income streams after my planned retirement to comparing OL and DL of teams. I do take every take with a grain of salt though because:

The more I use it, the less confidence I have in it. Hutzler is still at State and AI has a tendency to tell you what you want to hear as it has been programmed to be "NICE". True or False has no meaning to AI as it does not understand the concept.

I have become so very cautious on what it says. The problem is it treats sentences like math. Does that word belong there in this sentence which is more like math but without any concept of it being a true statement or not. AI has a long way to go before I would trust it without verification of some sort.

I think when 'AI' is discussed and the validity of its results/responses is questioned, it would be beneficial to clarify what 'AI' is being used.

Google AI Overview which is just a summary of a bunch of info that you can pull from common top search results pages using a dated but good version of Gemeni is WAAAAAAY different from Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Opus, GPT-6 Astra, etc etc.
And all that is WAAAAAY different from the 'AI help agent' that some shit website forces you to close over and over when you just want to look at the company's product.

All of it is called 'AI' though.

Yep, good point. 'AI' is anything from a shitty web chatbot to the AI agents that cheated in a virtual game then tried to break in and delete the records of it having cheated so it wouldnt be caught.

Its like how a 5 year old and Messi both play soccer. Or how a 5 year old and Michael Jordan both play basketball.
Yeah thats technically correct, but its also so vastly different that its pointless to compare.

Copilot is nuts for excel and powerpoint presentations. Prepare me a 5 slide presentation using this info. Done in seconds. Ok now put them all on this template. Done. I would like for you to go a little deeper on ______ particular subject. Done.

Also, the workout programs it (not Copilot but other AI) can lay out are great. I am a _____ year old that weighs ______. I want to build this or that or bench _____. Just whatever your goals are. Tell it your current lifts and let it go. Feed it info along the way and it updates. Personal trainers will be gone as soon as everyone thinks about this. Get detailed as you want. Can even get into meal planning.

I'm using OpenAI chat built for enterprise. I have my settings on medium. I tried it on Pro for a little while but honestly.. who's got 52 seconds to wait for answers?
