that's a great price
No kidding. I'll grant that prices in general tend to be higher in California, but I believe 80-20 hamburger out here generally sells for roughly $8 per pound. No way you can even get close to $2.00 per pound. According to my friend Google, Costco charges $6.80 per pound for 88-12 hamburger if you buy it in a bulk tray (6.4 pounds). I'm not sure whether that price is a local price or a national price.

I had to look up some local prices ... cheapest they appear to have around here is 5.50 for bulk 80/20. 7 and change for a pound of the fatty goodness.

Their alternative to high gas prices:
Have you ever tried walking.

It's actually really good. A 3 hours drive can be replaced with 3 days of walking. And just think of all those calories you can burn off to be replaced by eating a veggie burger. Excellent.
And don't forget that Bessent said you can give yourself a wage increase by changing your withholding! 🪄

Super ... maybe you can find us 20 lb. packages of some 50% Lean that is actually at that $2/lb. mark and declare "victory."

Now, what if you want to be a normal human and just buy a pound of 85%, 90% or leaner?

Here's a live look in on a typical bdgan meal ...

"That ain't the last bite!"
"Well sure it is, there's nothing on that plate but gristle and fat ..."
Gives an acknowledging stare that indicates it's go time on the gristle and fat
