olemiss is not obsessed

Someone posted a couple weeks ago about a roast of Kiffin, which I assumed was just a joke. Nope. Germans me if needed, but I didn't see this posted.

This is my only statement on the matter:

It seems like it can't be real, but at the same time it is so very Ole Miss.

...and very clarion-ledger to have an article about it, including the word 'douchebag' in the article about Kiffin.

That's quite some professional journalisming by the C/L.

Fact:

The plantation owners are still not handling the past well. It must be genetic.

POTUS · Sep 17, 2026

This has all the hallmarks of the man-hating scorned women’s club, like the one in Jerry McGuire. Laughing and high-fiving each other as they “roast” the man that left them as if they wouldn’t run back to him in a minute if he showed any interest.

Siri, show me pathetic.

dorndawg · Sep 17, 2026

Did anybody tell them the point of a roast is that the roastee is sitting right there? They might as well throw in a Baptism for the Dead in the deal too.

Correct, which makes this more a group therapy session than a roast.

Maroon13 · Sep 17, 2026

Maroon90 · Sep 17, 2026

C-L writer: "A couple people bombed." Yeah, dey prolly should of...

MStateU · Sep 17, 2026

thekimmer · Sep 17, 2026

That isn't cringe worthy at all**

grinningmule · Sep 17, 2026

Same energy

Hugh's Burner Phone · Sep 17, 2026

So let me see if I understand. They make a poster and distribute it to tell all the fans to not react to Kiffin because they don't want to appear obsessed, but then have mock roast of Kiffin. I bet the local pharmacists are making bank on bipolar and schizophrenia medications. We're not obsessed, but we're to do all this stuff before the game because Kiffin is a rotten dirty bastard and we've always hated him and hope he dies of syphilis homeless under a bridge.
