What are your thoughts if Trump trys to stop trading with these other Countries. I don't think Congress can stand bye and allow that to happen.
Fixing a GWB debacle like the Dem Presidents following a failed Republican regime always do.
I have no idea on the legality of it. But it seems like it would get a lot of peoples attention quickly.
1) Trump bloviates. You know that. He is most likely jawboning.
2) If he is serious, he will do it in a way that does not crash the economy. Trump judges his legacy by the economy. He isn't going to crash the economy on purpose.
Trump couldn't give a damn about his legacy, he cares about his money and manipulating the stock market.
He isn't even really trying to hide it anymore.

Market is down over 500 since the announcement plus the dump it’s been taking prior to announcement knowing it was going to increase.

I think the interest rate hike was stupid. Inflation has ticked up because of oil/war. Consumers are primarily concerned about the cost of healthcare, housing, and groceries. Higher interest rates don't help any of those things. If anything they make the cost of consumer & corporate borrowing higher while also increase interest on the federal debt.
The fed says the economy is strong and strengthening and that we're near full employment. That interesting since libs on this board say the exact opposite.

I was wrong. I read Warsh wrong. I think it was a good valued bet and I’d make the same bet given the situation.
But I was wrong. Will adjust my Warsh meter going forward.

That was never the claim.
The claim was that the odds were good he may chart a different course. I was wrong. It was 85-15 or 90-10, i liked the odds. Was wrong. Will adjust my read going forward.
So, you say it wasn't the claim, then go on to explain it in terms that support it was the case. Whatevs. Not my problem. But the board will be pointing and laughing for the foreseeable future.
