Places us middle of the pack in power 4 teams, but almost the bottom of the SEC, ahead of only Arkansas. I'd be interested if this is a reflection of those schools probably spending the most on basketball.

We are spending more than UL and UNC, and way more than Duke, but that's probably just a function of the conference revenue.

Several SEC teams spending 15-20 million more than Kentucky? That’s a huge disparity and will keep us irrelevant.

We will never increase our position by being outspent and out recruited.

A few of those schools can probably sustain that level of spending with zero problems. Some of them probably can't. For example, I don't see Ole Miss and Tennessee outspending Michigan long term.
Idk about Tennessee. They are taking sports serious as of late. Expanding tons of things especially that big facility that's going to be by the stadium. Also how basketball has been good every year going on a decade. And I hate that. Absolutely hate it.

I envision schools breaking off and starting new leagues with bylaws and statutes. Voluntary membership and agreeing to stay within the caps.
I would venture 99% of all AD’s, coaches and Presidents and BOTs would much prefer it.
This huge nil isn’t what amateur college sports was meant to be.
Just low level professional sports. Unsustainable for schools and fans. Many of these athletes aren’t students. Some can’t put two sentences together.
Feel for the real students and teachers who continue to see tuition rise and salaries stagnate.

Tennessee definitely has a few wealthy donors...just wonder how long they can sustain their current level of spending without seeing better results in football and no final fours in basketball. Their current football roster doesn't look like a top tier NIL budget to me...but who knows at this point.
