He's currently the backup at Memphis and has no pass attempts on the year and 1 rush for 0 yards.
I don't know all about the kid's circumstances. One can presume he bolted OSU b/c he was buried so deep on the depth chart (5th I think). It seems he transferred from here for similar reasons. It's possible he was told at OSU or here that he should move on b/c there was no NIL money for him. Now he's on his 3rd school in 3 seasons and still is not a starter, even at the G5 level. His college career is probably done for at this point.
In the old days, the kid would have just grinded it out at OSU, maybe eventually developed into a quality backup, or even a starter by his senior year and graduated with a degree from a great school. Now, either by their own choosing or the school's choosing, they are shuffled along from program to program. He's getting a fraction of the development he'd have gotten had he remained at OSU. Maybe he can develop into a G5 starter, but he was unable to beat out a DII transfer from West Florida. I would look for him to transfer again after this season, assuming the pattern continues. He'll probably finish his college "career" having played at 4-5 schools, establishing no relationships and possibly finish without a degree b/c of the constant movement.
It's a shame this is what college football has become. Dabo gets crapped on b/c he's no adapted to the modern game. Cowherd dumped on Dabo saying any other P4 program would have cut Vizzina loose long ago. I get it from the competitive standpoint. If you want to win in today's game, that's what you have to do. There is no development. There are no relationships. And that's mutual. Players, for the most part, want to go where they can get the most money and start immediately. Coaches tell players who aren't developing quickly enough that they should look for NIL opportunities elsewhere.
