Imagine use of this during covidiocy…”records show you failed to don a mask or stay within a certain distance” …your continued non compliance has been noted and you will be punished accordingly. Think that’s hyperbole or a black mirror episode? It’s not that far off…
I think I know what you mean by “crappy areas,” and I can assure you that’s not only where they are.

This vid is by an American who lived in China 10 years. He shows how nuts the social scoring is - and its all worse now with AI. They measure tiny things like jaywalking and noisy pets. People need to realize Flock is not just a camera. It very dynamic and will interact with many other things in AI panopticon . We will have cyber doppelgangers in AI network. Banks, grocery stores, Walmart's, gyms, car interiors will have scanners that can measure changes in people's pores, expressions, gaits, Seem agitated lately? Buy too much beer? Drove too fast,? Own a rifle? You could well get a visit from some goon squad. That' what happens in China and people want it in US. China even collecting USA DNA from ancestry.com UN also wants DNA.

when I lived in Beverly, you didn't need them because cops routinely pulled over people they knew didn't live there lololol.
well they put up with it so it's on them to push back. I realize that's not easy but when you give your rights away, you deserve what you get. It's why less gov't is more
I have a friend who worked at IBM for a long time. They had to travel to Beijing and worked with a lot of Chinese in US . A big complaint was how hard it was to get Chinese staff to make decisions because they don't like to seem to be breaking away from the larger group. That is Confucianism at work and it can be very isomorphic with social control. Cranky Yankee resistance is at the other end of Confucianism

Confucianism can also be a hard merge with military force because they like stealth over overt force. Its no surprise Sun Tzu was Chinese. That's a problem for US because Americans think of war as red berets, camo and AKs while Chinese strategy is more about undermining over time and unrestricted warfare from all directions. CCP declared "a people's war" on US in 2019 and nothing has quite been that same since.

Brett Weinstein is appalled that a private company in Israel has tech to slip into any camera feed. If US government did this it would be a violation of Constitution so they get non govenmental enterprises to do their dirty work. That's how they used the socials and universities ( like Stanford and and MIT) to skirt restrictions (a reason US agencies get NATO to spy inside US)

Cameras are deployed at doorbells on nearly every block. A warrant already gives the cops access to every location I’ve been in, every web page I’ve visited, every search engine request, every email I sent and received, every text message and DM, every Google doc and Word document and Excel spreadsheet, every medical record, and every AI conversation. And my personal diary if I kept one. My license plate being read if my car is stolen isn’t even in the top ten of what the government can already do to me. What’s to prevent the U.S. from being China now? Whatever that is is more important than a few dozen Flock cameras capturing license plates instantly.

ALPRs (Flock, Axon, etc) are being abused too often by police. I live in Georgia and we've had nearly 3 dozen people (mostly police) arrested for abusing the system. Flock has done more to expose police abuse than any other system. Are you less likely to trust a cop today than you were a year ago? The system needs to be better secured and perhaps requires judicial oversight, such as requiring a warrant.
