I feel better about this game than Minnesota

Sellers was 10-23 for 96 yards and 1 INT against Towson. He did have 119 yards rushing and a TD, but he looked horrible throwing the ball.

South Carolina had two punt returns fora touchdown as well.

They’ve put up good running numbers, and I think their defense is better than Minnesota. I’m happy with how we’ve looked but this is one I wouldn’t put money on

Agree. I always thought this game was more winnable than Minnesota. Not nearly as impressed by Sellers as a lot of people seem to be. So I'm sure they'll beat us by 10. ** Actually, after seeing Minnesota, South Carolina probably is better than them. But I still think we win.

Hmm.

I remember well traveling to watch a confident Jackie Sherrill's ranked Dawgs play a limp gang of cocks in Columbia.

They lost by giving up a shitt-ton of rushing yards to the tricky and illusive delayed draw up the gut.

ETA: some data on that game-
It was 1992.
State was undefeated and ranked 15.
USCe was 0-5, and starting their third string QB, Steve Tanneyhill.
They beat State that day for their first win over an SEC team in their history.

2024 Sellars looked a lot better than 2025 Sellars. No idea what happened, but that dude was legit in 2024.

All good, brother! It really is so uncanny, though.

I was a senior in ‘98 and made the trip to scar. We missed the opening kickoff that KP returned for a TD, and rolled after that to 38-0. Trip was fun, but I wasn’t impressed with the state or the school or the stadium… saw literally dozens of t-top Trans Ams and it was incredibly bizarre seeing how that movie was already 20 years old!!
