This is the rare (double official) thread.
I'm taking officiality to new heights, or lows, depending on your perspective.
No doubt you've noticed the blown calls today ... but then again this isn't new to any of us, we were there when Florida was handed a bowl win against us in a transparent act of corruption.

I invite you to join me in an on-going exercise that tracks the over-the-top calls which corrupt the outcome of a game. Not just our games, but other games where it is apparent the refs are affecting the outcome.

If you saw anything recently that the rest of us missed, post it down below. TIA.

About 20 minutes ago, Maryland had first and goal at about the 8 yd line against UConn, up 24-14. Guy from Maryland grabs the facemask of a UConn player. The same officials must be doing that game that did the '06 Outback Bowl, because facemask penalty was called on UCONN. Instead of Maryland having their drive stalled, Maryland went on to score the TD and put the game essentially out of reach.

Very interesting, because in the Oregon/Oklahoma State game there was a call almost identical to what you described.

Posted in other thread. Late 3rd isu catch overturned. Refs let 20-30 sec go off before review which determined incomplete but didn’t put time on. Theme of night with 2 pi missed on same punt return, blackledge color analyst pointing out hold on DJ late first half and pi on Diaz in 4th. Then have hold on isu only TD. To put it nicely not a good night for guys in stripes. About the only thing they didn’t mess up was last play with the time.

Was not aware of the 3 sec rule. Do not think I have seen it called before.

I’ve seen it before when a team was trying to clock it before half so I felt good about final catch until I remembered how bad the crew was last night and flashbacks to week 1 Michigan thinking somehow we will get screwed over.

The officials were more concerned with who had the ball to notice the PF right in front of him. It was like they would have given ISU the possession if one of their guys had the ball.

Iowa could write a letter to the Big 12 office about their refs but I doubt it would do any good.

Did I mis-see the apparent face mask on Hank when Iowa went for the tush-push and didn't make it? Brown lost his helmet b/c it was pulled off.

That was the first blatant personal foul the refs failed to call.

The ball was obviously kicked forward by one of the ISU players mugging James. At that point, it doesn’t matter who recovers the ball. It’s ours at the spot of recovery (plus 30 yards in unsportsmanlike conduct penalties). What’s more important is the three guys committing personal fouls, and the one who shoved James’s head into the turf. Utter incompetence.

This had to have been coached. Slime balls. Rogers seems a little slimy himself. His F Iowa comment says a lot.
On a side note, why was James anywhere near that ball? Should have been jogging to the sideline when they downed it

Probably because he was getting held,mugged and shoved. How the hell was that not a personal foul. Unless Rogers discovered a loop hole in coverage that allows it.
