Miss St is going to be a real problem!

I’ve been here too many times before. Trying to come up with some reason to explain away such a piss poor performance against a crappy opponent to give yourself hope that you can beat a real team the following week. Only to find out that you are in fact, a terrible team.
I think we have a much better defense than either of the opponents they have played so far. I would have liked to have seen our receivers play better, those drops are concerning. Love what I am seeing with our running game except for Fuller's couple of fumbles, hopefully we will look much crisper after a solid week of practice.
Miss St only allowed 13 yards rushing to Minnesota. I can't believe how awful La Norris looks as a QB. We are going to need the passing game. This is what I was worried about, the lack of quality receivers.
Receivers not catching the ball makes the passing game look worse than it really is. There were at least 2 TD passes missed and many other incompletions which were catchable but not caught. Receivers took a step back this week!
Dylan Stewart has to play and be a big difference in this game. Find a way to win, I don't care how.
Hope I'm wrong but I envision him having a year like Clowney's junior year.
This is so typical for USC football. A beatable opponent comes out of nowhere to have a good team.
Mazeo had a right to be mad after that end zone throw. He has lost 2 TD's in two weeks. La Norris is a right handed Tim Tebow.

Yes, LaNorris wanted Mazeo to keep running right but the throw wasn't good.
I do not wish to be rude or harsh, I think we need to keep things in perspective. Our team looked phenomenal last week but not so great tonight, specifically with the passing game, yet we still won handily in the end, while it wasn't pretty, we won. As another fan noted, we ran the ball exceptionally well last night, nothing at all like the SC State Game last season. I am still very optimistic due to the caliber of the outstanding coaches Beamer hired this offseason, I believe in these new coaches.
Two pretty evenly matched teams. The line is sitting around 7pt but I could see that dropping as the week goes along.
A early game like this at home against a team like MSU is a season shaper. Much different UGA where players can psychologically absorb getting beat by a Top 5 team.
I don't see us winning a shootout. The consistency of our defense has really been the story during Beamer's tenure to date. Let's hope they can continue their solid play and keep the flow contained.

I’m gonna give out a little grace…
Sometimes it’s hard to get up for an opponent like Towson; it happens to all big programs. Also, it rained hard, AND there was an hour delay—which sucks out desire to play hard. And yet we still ran well and put up 45 pts. I imagine our team will get up for Miss St.

I’m pretty confident Carolina has a significantly better roster. Mississippi State is clicking and their quarterback is good. We’ve seen a lot of quarterbacks play well at times and then come out and start making huge mistakes. If the run defense continues to be as stout as it is now, I feel pretty confident in Carolina winning.
