Against a crappy team. It’s one game.
Overrated is the operative word.

A little 69 tonight will plump those suckers right up.Do you guys think Kirk should get some lip fillers?
And Wisky.F the clowns!!
Honestly, a couple balls played well by ISU that could/should have been Iowa catches.Hank Brown 21/30 for 190. One massive shot, good accuracy. Took care of the ball. Good win.
Still can't get 200Hank Brown 21/30 for 190. One massive shot, good accuracy. Took care of the ball. Good win.
It’s incredible how this game always destroys narratives.Just like everyone said: we have a QB and a kicker, but no running game or OL
Barring a miracle, they just didOhio st looking like they are gonna choke
Kirk would go into a game against IC Regina hoping to eeek out a 20-17 win.
It was embarrassing. For Iowa. It’s incredible how this game always destroys narratives.
i suppose you are right but i was trying to empathize with how michigan might have felt without cheatingIn what game have you ever seen the clock stop with 1 second after a deep pass and able to get up on the ball before the clock winds. They literally can't snap the ball until the ball is set and the clock starts.
Taste the tears clowns
And the crazy thing is, everyone knew they would totally commit to stoping the run and short passing game. And yet it appeared the Iowa Offensive Staff somehow didn’t get the memo. The biggest concern is that ***** Jimmy outcoached Kirk with a bunch of nobodies on the roster. Straight up. The clowns were better than us in almost every regard. Running game, LOS, special teams, defense. We only were better with the passing game, which is hard to believe.
Absolutely sucks to say, but Rodgers was likely a home run hire for those losers. Better hold on tight for next year, they'll have two weeks to prepare, and they'll want revenge.
Did he though? Iowa had more passing yards, had more first downs, allowed fewer yards, allowed fewer points, had fewer penalties, had fewer punts. ISU lost a time out to a failed icing the kicker, lost a time out to a player being injured. Clutch kick, congrats to the Hawks! Diaz is my player of the game...I don't think iowa wins without him.
I suppose it's up to the individual, but his boys were ready. In hindsight, our defense did a very good job keeping Raynor at bay and not letting him beat us with his legs. Lester adjusted and leaned on the pass which lead to us moving the ball. But no one had expectations for Rodgers, and his team already looks like a bowl team.Did he though? ISU played well, game planned well, but I don’t think he straight up out coached Iowa.
I think they got us on our heels early. But it ended up being 16-3 Iowa down the stretch. Not bad for a team that didn’t have a clear starter at QB until this week.I suppose it's up to the individual, but his boys were ready. It is obvious now they doIowa doesn’t have a starting QB.
This would make sense, all things being equal.Did he though? Iowa had more passing yards, had more first downs, allowed fewer yards, allowed fewer points, had fewer penalties, had fewer punts. No they really don’t.It is obvious now they do
Have you watched Kirk for 28 yrs??? When he plays one guy and not the other…. The whole game. The other guy usually goes and looks around. Usually. Or waits for an injury. Which is not good.No they really don’t.
I suppose it’s not good if you’re looking for reasons to be disappointed. This would make sense, all things being equal.
All things weren't equal in this game.
Our roster is more talented than theirs. Our coaches are more experienced than theirs. It was on our home field. It was a night game at Kinnick. This is their coaches' 1st season at ISU. This is their players' 1st season at ISU.
ISU outcoached us. Their players were more physical. Honestly their players seemed to care more.
Iowa was ranked #21 in the country going into their game. Their team was picked to finish last in the Big 12.
You can try convincing yourself otherwise all you want but this was not a good W for us.
As I’ve said all along, the Hawks don’t have a QB cause they didn’t go get one.I’m fairly worried that our offense still cannot put points on the board.
ISU with new coaches and brand new players in their new system and we’re unable to curb stomp them, AT HOME, with our 38-year head coach?
Concerning.
I’d be shocked if HB isn’t #1 on the depth chart next week.No they really don’t.
