Patterson’s really playing well this year, I didn’t expect to see it.
I'm liking this running game. Just stay with it.
I definitely don't like those last 2 play calls. Just run the ball there.

Yeah, regardless of the result, I would rather see two straight runs on 3rd and 4th and 1 than two straight passes. Our RBs look like they can get a yard

If Rodriguez crossed the line to gain the first down, and then the ball is knocked loose and falls backwards behind the 1st down marker, does forward progress count, or it it purely where the ball ended up?

Forward progress SHOULD count I would think.

Impossible to play QB when your WRs, TEs and RBs are getting no separation.
Gotta secure that short pass. It's a definite first down. Just secure the ball.
That's what I don't understand. Shouldn't matter where the ball went out if he caught the ball and was there with forward progress.
