R-S Central (2-1) vs. Chesnee (2-0)
Prediction: R-S Central 28, Chesnee 34
This game was close last year and came down to the wire. Don't expect nothing less from it. These two teams pull the best out of each other and definitely would be my game of the week! They both can make big explosive plays and in some cases are equally matched. As long as officiating or turnovers don't become a factor, this game will be fun to see. Might be one that gets a lot of scouting to see what RS has and can they respond after this past week.
Chase (3-0) vs. Madison (1-2)
Prediction: Chase 38, Madison 7
Another easy one for the Trojan army this week. They will continue to provide offensive fireworks and stingy defensive play as they dismantle Madison. Chase moves to (4-0) before conference play kicks off!
Draughn (0-3) vs. Mountain Island Charter (2-0)
Prediction: Mountain Island Charter 42, Draughn 7
Draughn will continue to show up and fight until its over, but MICS will have too much speed/depth/explosive chunk plays for the Wildcats to ever get anything rolling. The boys for Valdese will have yet another tough one to battle this coming Friday.
Patton (0-3) vs. Polk County (0-3)
Prediction: Patton 21, Polk County 28
Battle for the first W! This game will be physical and I expect both teams to come in expecting to get the W. Question is who will flinch first. Both teams are coached hard and will come out fighting with everything to get the first one. I still think that Polk has upper hand because of how good the scheme is when they play folks around their same size and skill.
East Burke (1-2) vs. Winston-Salem Prep (1-2)
Prediction: East Burke 28, Winston-Salem Prep 21
Not sure how to predict this one because WSP may have a solid team and may not. These prep schools can manipulate rosters year to year and have some surprises. I think what edges this one out is the good mix that East Burke has and how physical they can be up front in the trenches. These guys typically have a brand of ball up there in Connelly Springs that wears on the body through the game. Expect them to get the new HC a winning streak!

Hibriten and ER on bye week this week as they prepare for each other. This game was for the conference championship last year and will bring a lot of excitement for the opening week of WPAC play!
